Moein Denied Double Knockout as Skripkin Stays Alive Again

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Roman Kolotiuk moved all in for around 200,000 in early position and Maksim Skripkin reshoved for 400,000 on the button. Ali Moein in the small blind called to put both players at risk.

Roman Kolotiuk: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Maksim Skripkin: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Ali Moein: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Moein was ahead with his tens as the flop came {8-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Skripkin, though, hit the {q-Clubs} on the turn to pull in front as the {7-Spades} fell on the river.

Moein shot out of his seat in frustration and began muttering to himself as Skripkin doubled up off him, while Kolotiuk was eliminated.

Aliaksandr Hirs: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Aleksandr Ivanov: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Moein on Wrong Side of Another Flip

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ali Moein
Ali Moein

Ali Moein was just involved in another pre-flop coin flip, and this one would prove to have the same result and lead to his elimination from the tournament.

Moein was all in for 450,000 with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and up against Roman Gadzhiev holding {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Gadzhiev paired his ace on the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop, then improved to a flush on the {3-Clubs} turn.

Already drawing dead, Moein could only watch helplessly as the {4-Spades} fell on the river before the overwhelming chip leader on Day 1 was sent to the rail.

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Helmut Phung moved all in for 385,000 from the small blind and was up against Philippe Souki in early position.

Helmut Phung: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Philippe Souki: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Khabbazeh Picks Off Abakirov

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Kubanychbek Abakirov three-bet to 175,000 in the cutoff and Basel Khabbazeh called from under the gun.

The flop came {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Khabbazeh checked to Abakirov, who continued for 130,000. Khabbazeh called before both players checked the {a-Clubs} turn.

Khabbazeh also checked the {6-Diamonds} river and Abakirov fired out 425,000 this time. Khabbazeh tanked for about a minute before he called as Abakirov flung {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} into the middle.

Khabbazeh showed {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to win the pot.

"Nice call," tablemate Florian Duta told him following the hand.

"Table change. Everyone play too good," Daniel Montagnolli added.

Barsegian Calls Down Ustimov With Bottom Pair

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Viktor Ustimov bet 60,000 from early position on a flop of {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Eduard Barsegian called on the button.

The turn came the {5-Spades} and Ustimov fired out another 80,000. Barsegian quickly called as the {j-Hearts} fell on the river.

Ustimov kept betting, this time for 110,000. Barsegian didn't call as quickly as he paused for about a minute before putting in the chips.

Ustimov turned over {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for ace-high, while Barsegian had {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to win the pot with two pair, queens and fours.

Cinca Has Duta Crushed

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Alexandru Cinca
Alexandru Cinca

Florian Duta and Alexandru Cinca were heads-up on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} when Cinca moved all in for 410,000. Duta gave a deep sigh and reluctantly threw in a chip to call.

Alexandru Cinca:{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Florian Duta: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Duta's instincts proved correct as Cinca had woken up with aces. The board ran out {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Cinca doubled up.

"That's why you fold pre," Fahredin Mustafov joked with Duta after the hand. "Not possible to fold that board. Too strong."

"I fold 20 to 30 hands in a row. Every time I raise I get reraised. What kind of table is this," Cinca added with a smile as he took in the pot.
