Yalcin Flops Flush

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Fausto Tantillo in middle position was involved in a hand with Hasan Yalcin one seat over. With the board reading {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} Tantillo led out for 35,000 only for Yalcin to respond by jamming all in. Tantillo did not seem too happy with the situation but did make the call. Yalcin turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the second nuts, prompting Tantillo to ask "muck?" but as Yalcin was all in and at risk that was not an option.

Hasan Yalcin: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Fausto Tantillo: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Tantillo was drawing extremely thin, needing to find a runner-runner full house or quads. The {5-Spades} turn rendered the {6-Diamonds} river a mere formality as Yalcin received a full double at Tantillo's expense.

Chilaud Keeps Raking in Pots

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Maxime Chilaud raised to 20,000 from early position and action folded around to Liviu Ignat, who defended his big blind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Ignat checked to Chilaud, who bet 20,000. Ignat called to see the {8-Spades} turn, where he check-called another bet of 55,000.

The river came the {q-Diamonds} and Ignat checked once more. Chilaud this time checked behind and took the pot with {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} as Ignat turned over {a-}{j-} for a missed straight draw.

Kapustin Busy Building Big Stack

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

A player opened to 16,000 from under the gun only to see Denis Kapustin three-bet to 50,000 in the cutoff. The button and blinds folded to send the action back to the under the gun player who decided to call.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and the under the gun player checked to Kapustin who continued for 40,000. That bet alone was enough to get a fold from his opponent and keep Kapustin contending for the tournament chiplead.

Magalashvili Escapes Stefanov's Trap

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Michael Magalashvili
Michael Magalashvili

Milen Stefanov had a raise to 16,000 in front of him in early position before Michael Magalashvili reraised to 45,000 in the cutoff. Stefanov called as they went heads-up to the flop.

Both players checked the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop before Stefanov led out for 32,000 on the {5-Hearts} turn. Magalashvili called and the river came the {6-Spades}.

Stefanov checked this time, and Magalashvili checked back. Stefanov let out a loud groan as he showed {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for the rivered full house.

Magalashvili dropped that pot, but he's still sitting on a stack of more than 1,500,000 and contending for the tournament chip lead.

Tulepbergenov Cannot Beat Jacks

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

A player opened to 20,000 from early position and was called by a player in middle position. Azamat Tulepbergenov then three-bet to 79,000 out of the small blind, getting a call from the original raiser and a fold from the middle position player.

Tulepbergenov continued for 100,000 on a flop of {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} and was called by his opponent.

Both players checked through the {k-Hearts} turn to the {5-Diamonds} river at which point Tulepbergenov checked once more. The early position player checked back and turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, sufficiently strong to down the {a-}{j-} of Tulepbergenov.

Drozd Busts to Bindel as Zhugralin Makes Big Fold

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ondrej Drozd
Ondrej Drozd

Damir Zhugralin three-bet to 32,000 from the hijack before Ondrej Drozd, in the cutoff, moved all in for 220,000. Action folded to Luc Bindel in the big blind, and he reshoved for 480,000.

Zhugralin went into the tank for several minutes before he turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and tossed it into the muck, leaving Drozd and Bindel heads-up.

Ondrej Drozd: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Luc Bindel: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

"I thought you would fold something insane, and I was right," Bindel told Zhugralin as he saw the board run out {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Bindel's tens stayed in front and Drozd made his exit.
