Smuskevicius Shows Down Jacks in Three-Way Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Boris Smuskevicius
Boris Smuskevicius

Boris Smuskevicius bet 50,000 on a board of {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} before Boris Angelov, next to act, raised to 180,000. Efraim Tavdi called the raise on the button while Smuskevicius let out a loud sigh before he also called.

The river came the {10-Spades} and all three players quickly checked. Smuskevicius turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Angelov mucked. Tavdi took one last look at the board before he tossed away {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

"You're welcome," Angelov told Smuskevicius as he raked in the big pot.

Sinclair Applies Pressure

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Jack Sinclair opened to 35,000 from middle position and received a single customer in the form of Marat Gallyamov in the big blind.

Both players checked through the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop to the {8-Spades} turn at which point Gallyamov checked for a second time. Sinclair fired a delayed continuation of 35,000 which Gallyamov called.

The {k-Diamonds} river saw Gallyamov check for a third time and Sinclair, not willing to go to a cheap showdown, tossed 80,000 into the middle. Gallyamov thought for some time before eventually, with a "you're good", mucking.

Soyirgaz Picks Off Massive Bluff From Reichenstein

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Uri Reichenstein bet 25,000 from early position on a flop of {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and [Removed:422] called in the small blind.

The turn came the {4-Diamonds} and Reichenstein fired out another 115,000. Soyirgaz took his time before sliding in a call as the {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

He checked over to Reichenstein again, and Reichenstein this time announced he was all in. Soyirgaz, with 312,000 remaining, tanked for five minutes before Adrian State called the clock.

Soyirgaz barely waited for the countdown to begin before committing the rest of his chips. Reichenstein turned over {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a bluff, while Soyirgaz had {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair, sixes and fives, to double up.

"Not here for a min-cash," a tablemate told him.

"Only first place," Soyirgaz replied.

Dedelov Turns Merhi Aad Dead

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Picking up the action partway through the hand, Elias Merhi Aad on the button was all in and at risk against Fedor Dedelov in middle position.

Elias Merhi Aad: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Fedor Dedelov: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Merhi Aad was locked in a race for his tournament life but pulled into a commanding lead on the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. The {9-Clubs} turn, however, was a death blow as the table as a whole emitted a low groan. The {j-Diamonds} river completed the board and Merhi Aad, taking a photo of the sick runout, wished his table mates good luck.

Samavati Saves Himself

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Navid Samavati and Azamat Tulepbergenov went heads-up to a flop of {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} when Tulepbergenov, in the small blind, shoved to put Samavati all in.

Samavati, with around 460,000 remaining, tanked for several minutes as he considered the decision for his tournament life. "How can I fold this," he asked himself.

"If you fold I show," Tulepbergenov told him. Samavati eventually turned over {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and threw it into the muck, and Tulepbergenov obliged him and showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Montagnolli Sends Out Abdelhadi With Nut Flush

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ahmad Abdelhadi moved all in for 210,000 and Daniel Montagnolli called on the button to put him at risk.

Ahmad Abdelhadi: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Daniel Montagnolli: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Abdelhadi fell further behind as the {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop gave Montagnolli the nut flush draw. The {5-Spades} turn was no help, while Montagnolli completed his flush on the {10-Clubs} river.

"GG," Abdelhadi said as he tapped the felt on his way to the exit.

Wilf Concedes To Madanzhiev

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Saar Wilf in the big blind was involved in a hand with Stoyan Madanzhiev, arguably a WSOP Main Event winner, in the cutoff. With the board reading {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} Wilf had a bet of 40,000 in front of him and was facing an all in for 232,000 from Madanzhiev. After a few minutes, another player at the table called the clock on Wilf who, after the floorman told him he had 30 seconds to act, folded. "Pocket eights?" he asked of Madanzhiev who neither confirmed nor denied Wilf's guess.

Haddad Busts, Mukhamedaminov and Selinger Chop

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sari Haddad raised to 25,000 from early position before Julian Selinger reraised enough to put him all in from the small blind. Timur Mukhamedaminov committed the rest of his short stack in the big blind as action went back on Haddad.

"Sorry guys," he told the table as he tanked before putting in his last 206,000.

Timur Mukhamedaminov: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sari Haddad: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Julian Selinger: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Mukhamedaminov and Selinger both had Haddad dominated heading to the {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop. The {6-Clubs} on the turn left open the possibility of a chop, but the {2-Diamonds} left Haddad behind and heading for the rail as his two opponents chopped up his stack.

Tavdi Felts Henriques

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Daniel Henriques: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Efraim Tavdi: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Henriques would need to win a flip to survive but fell far behind on the {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop with the {3-Diamonds} turn and {8-Clubs} river confirming his exit shy of the money.
