Montagnolli Calls Off On the Bubble

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

There was already a big pot of around 500,000 in the middle as Daniel Montagnolli and Valeriy Pak went heads-up on a board of {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Pak, in early position, moved all in and Montagnolli went into the tank as he considered the decision for his last 300,000.

"Are you shoving overpairs here," Montagnolli wondered as he anguished over the decision for nearly five minutes. A player at the table eventually called the clock, and the countdown had nearly reached zero before Montagnolli called.

Pak showed {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for flopped trips and Montagnolli flashed {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} before wishing the table luck and heading for the exit just short of the money.

Bochkarev Runs Into Kings Two Off the Money

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Yury Bochkarev
Yury Bochkarev

Yury Bochkarev moved all in for 275,000 from under the gun as action folded to Maroun Jazzar in the small blind. He asked for a count before calling to put Bochkarev at risk.

Yury Bochkarev: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Maroun Jazzar: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Bochkarev was looking for an ace to survive as Merit Poker cameras and a large crowd surrounded the table. The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Bochkarev made a quick exit two spots off the money.

The remaining 90 players are now on the money bubble.

Saar Wilf Bubbles the Main Event

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Saar Wilf took Yury Bochkarev's old seat and was left with just one blue 5,000 chip after paying the big blind and ante. Luc Bindel raised to 40,000 in early position and was called by Maroun Jazzar on the button and small blind Evgenii Korchagin before Wilf threw in his last chip.

All three players checked down the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board, then waited for all hands to finish on other tables before revealing their cards. Korchagin had {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a pair of kings to beat Jazzar and Bindel, while Wilf showed the {8-Spades} first, followed by the {3-Hearts} as he was eliminated on the money bubble.

The remaining 89 players are now all in the money.

Reiser Sneaks Into the Money

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Stefan Reiser survived the money with around 100,000 and moved all in from the button. Jenya Gavrilovich in early position called to put him at risk.

Stefan Reiser: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Jenya Gavrilovich: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Reiser remained in front on the {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop, but Gavrilovich hit the {k-Hearts} on the turn to make a pair of kings. The river came the {9-Diamonds} and Reiser became an early post-bubble bustout.

Chilaud Fires Away at Angelov

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Maxime Chilaud bet 40,000 from middle position on a flop of {6-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Spades} and Boris Angelov called in the big blind.

The turn came the {a-Hearts} and Angelov checked over to Chilaud, who continued betting with 100,000. Angelov quickly called to see the {5-Hearts} river and checked again.

Chilaud kept firing, this time for 175,000 which was enough for Angelov to get rid of his hand.

"Not sure if," Angelov told him as Chilaud is approaching 3,000,000.

Abdo Wins Four-Bet Pot

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Naji Abdo opened from early position and was called by a player on the button. The big blind then three-bet to 80,000 to which Abdo responded by four-betting to 220,000. That got a quick fold from the button while the big blind, after some consideration, made the call.

Action checked to Abdo following the {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop and he continued for 400,000. That represented a significant portion of his opponent's stack and the big blind, with a pained expression, released their holding to concede the pot to Abdo.

Magalashvili Delivers Soul Crushing Beat

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Michael Magalashvili
Michael Magalashvili

A player opened to 50,000 from middle position and was called by Michael Magalashvili in late position. Action then folded to Luc Bindel in the big blind and he three-bet to 230,000. That got a fold from the original raiser but Magalashvili made the call to see a flop.

Bindel continued for 150,000 on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and was called by Magalashvili.

The {8-Clubs} turn saw Bindel push all in for a little over 700,000, a move that sent Magalashvili into the tank. After some time he made the call with the covering stack to put Bindel at risk.

Luc Bindel: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Michael Magalashvili: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Bindel was in a good spot to secure a huge double but would need to fade his opponent's straight outs as well as the last two sevens in the deck. The river came {9-Hearts} to complete Magalashvili's straight and send Bindel to the rail in brutal fashion. Magalashvili, meanwhile, scooped a massive pot to send him to the top of the chip counts by some margin.

Lahmani Sticks in His Last Chip

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Oshri Lahmani raised to 250,000 from middle position, leaving himself just one blue 5,000 chip behind, and Walter Treccarichi called in the hijack.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Lahmani checked to Treccarichi, who put Lahmani all in.

"I'm going to take one minute," Lahmani said as he began looking around the room.

"I hope you make the pay jump. We can all go to sleep," tablemate Andrew Gray replied.

"I need only a queen," Lahmani reassured Treccarichi before he put in his last chip with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Trecarrichi showed {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Lahmani was sent to the payout desk.
