Hall Eliminated by Donato

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Mark Barlow opened under the gun and Kevin Hall three-bet all in with {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Unfortunately for him, Salvatore Donato woke up with {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} in the small blind. He called and Barlow got out of the way.

There was no help for Hall on the {8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs} board and Hall made his way to the exit, whilst Salvatore has boosted up nicely.

Break

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

It's time for the last break of the day and while players take 15 minutes to refresh themselves, the 100 chips will be coloured up.

Avila Eliminates Two More to Skyrocket Above the Competition

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Juan Avila's stack is enormous now and the Spaniard has around 165 big blinds in front.

All the chips went in preflop between Avila, Jai Patel and one other player and after the cards were spun on their backs, it was Avila who was ahead.

Juan Avila: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Jai Patel: {a-}{9-}
Opponent: {q-}{j-}

The dealer laid {3-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} on the board and with the nuts on the river, the huge pile of chips went Avila's way. With more than three levels to go, Avila is already closing in on the 470,000-chip stacks that were good for the chip lead in Days 1a and 1c. Will he be able to catch Edgar Drozdov's, who at 620,000 takes through the overall lead after playing Day 1c?

Katsoulakis Busts

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Anton Katsoulakis has busted in the last ten minutes, following the big clash against Nigel Hannan a few hands ago.

Katsoulakis Behind to Hannan

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Two players were in on the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop. Anton Katsoulakis was in the small blind and had a 25,000 bet in front of him. Nigel Hannan, in the big blind, had moved all in for 65,000. Katsoulakis ultimately decided to call but found he was drawing to two outs when the cards were turned over.

Nigel Hannan: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Anton Katsoulakis: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river held for Hannan, even giving him a full house by the end and it comes at a cost to Katsoulakis who finds his fortunes significantly diminished as a result of that hand.

Yong Finds a Double

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Christopher Yong has doubled up after getting it all in with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} against {j-Spades}{5-Spades} and holding on the {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

Miro Out

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After losing most of his chips last hand, Sami Miro moved all in over a raise and a flat call. The big blind came along before the two early position players joined them, giving Miro the chance to quadruple his stack.

On the {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Leendert Van De Geer moved all in when checked to and the other two players stepped asided.

Leendert Van De Geer: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Sami Miro: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Miro was a long way behind and couldn't recover on the {q-Clubs} turn or {a-Hearts} river. Taking it all in his stride, he left the table smiling as he headed towards the door.

Hegedus, Kassa and Miro in Three-Handed All In

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

PokerNews was alerted to a big hand brewing over on Table 1. High-tailing it over to the back of the room in time to see three players all in and the dealer busily separating the pots.

What had unfolded was that Gabor Hegedus had opened to 4,000 and was flat called by Sami Miro. Getnet Kassa three-bet all in for 16,000. After Hegedus flat called, Miro went over the top again and Hegedus overcalled.

Gabor Hegedus: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Getnet Kassa: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Sami Miro: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

There were only two live cards between them but Hegedus and Kassa found one on the {4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop. The {j-Hearts} turn brought a gutshot for Kassa but the {2-Clubs} river didn't oblige him. He is down to fumes, whilst Kassa and Hegedus both profit from the main and side pots respectively.
