Bolanos Wheels Over Shapiro

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Three players each put in 700 preflop and saw a flop of {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Juan Endara was in the small blind and led out for 1,100, which Carlos Bolanos called from the big. Jonathan Shapiro came along from the button and it was still three-way to the {5-Clubs} turn.

Two checks saw Shapiro bet 1,700, Endara folded, and Bolanos called to see the {4-Clubs} river.

Bolanos then led out for 2,300 and Shapiro wasted little time in making the call. Bolanos tabled the {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a rivered wheel and it was good as Shapiro sent his hand to the muck.

Pocket Rockets Propel Yassa to a Double

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Nagui Yassa got his last 3,000 or so all in preflop after looking at one card, or so he claimed. He was at risk against both Nick Shamlou and David Poces, who checked it down on the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} runout.

Nagui Yassa: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Nick Shamlou: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
David Poces: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Yassa's aces were best and he tripled up to about half starting stack.

Wiggins Off to Hot Start

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Willie Wiggins had gotten off to a great start here on Day 1b and already sits with more than double the starting stack.

In a recent hand, Ariel Rosello Quintana limped under the gun and the next player to act did the same. Willie Wiggins then raise to 400 from the cutoff, the players on the button and in the small blind called, and both limpers came along to make it five-way action to the {q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

All five players checked, the dealer burned and turned the {9-Spades}, and Quintana bet 1,000 after the big blind had checked. Wiggins raised it to 2,300 and action folded back to Quintana, who opted to call.

Quintana then checked the {a-Spades} river and Wiggins said, "That was a bad card."

Wiggins then checked back while tabling the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a straight. It was good as Quintana sent his hand to the muck.
