Lewin Sends The Prince of Poker to the Stables

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

Scotty Nguyen counted his stack down before moving all-in from under the gun for his last 5,600. Action folded to Max Lewin in the small blind who jammed behind for isolation before the big blind folded to set up a heads up runout with Nguyen at risk.

Scotty Nguyen: 109
Max Lewin: AQ

The flop came 96K, shifting the percentages and putting Nguyen square in the lead for a much needed double up, but when the turn came the Q, the lead swung back in the other direction.

The A didn't offer another pendulum swing for Nguyen as Lewin collected the pot while Nguyen stood to head to the exit.

Pereira The Victor Blind vs Blind

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player in late position raised to 3,500 and found callers in both the small blind and Antonio Pereira in the big blind before seeing the flop come 84J.

The small blind checked to Pereira who opted to bet out with a bet of 7,000. The late position player folded but the small blind came along to see the 3 hit the turn.

Both players checked through and watched as the dealer brought the 4 out on the river.

The small blind player reached for his stack and came out with a bet for 7,000. Pereira paused for a moment before eventually grabbing chips and tossing in a raise to 30,000.

The small blind was not quick to release his hand and seemed frustrated at the idea of having to let the hand go. After about three minutes in the tank, a player on the other end of the table called for a clock but the small blind ultimately decided to toss his cards into the muck before a tournament official could arrive to initiate a countdown.

Pereira stated after the hand that he had Ax4x as he collected the pot.
