Liu Chipping Up With the Help of Jacks

Ping Liu raised to 120,000 from the hijack and got one caller in Sergio Aido in the big blind before seeing the flop come 3♥10♠J♥.

Aido checked over to Liu who continued with a bet of 110,000. Aido didn't wait long before grabbing chips and making the call to see the K♠ turn card.

Aido checked again and Liu opted to put out another bet, this time for 425,000. Aido paused briefly before putting in the call to see the board complete with the A♥.

Both players decided on a check and Liu turned over the J♠J♣, good enough to take down what had become a sizable pot.

Liran Betito raised to 110,000 from under the gun only to face a three-bet to 300,000 on his direct left. Action folded to David Coleman on the button who decided to come in for a four-bet totaling 600,000.

With action back on Betito, he thought briefly before announcing a five-bet worth 1,000,000. The original three-bettor got out of the way and Coleman paused for just a moment before announcing all-in. Betito snap-called to set up a runout with Coleman at risk.

The 7♦5♠K♠ flop left little hop for Betito and when the K♣ came on the turn, he was left drawing dead headed to the inconsequential Q♣ river as he sends a huge double in Coleman's direction.

Sergio Aido raised from under the gun to 100,000 and got called by Liran Betito in middle position, leading to a flop of K♦9♠2♥.

Both players checked through to see the J♠ hit the turn. Action quickly checked through one more time, bringing the K♣ out on the river.

Aido reached for chips and tossed out a bet of 250,000. Betito paused as he counted out chips before making a raise to 675,000.

With action back on Aido, he took his time in deciding his action before eventually counting out a raise to 1,325,000. Betito verified the amount before putting in the call only to see Aido turn over the Q♣10♣for the nut straight. Betito frustratingly counted out the calling chips as he turned over the K♠Q♠ before sending a big pot to Aido.

Je Wook Oh raised to 370,000, leaving himself a single 5,000 denomination chip behind. Action folded to Jonathan Borenstein who announced a call from the big blind before turning his cards up having not noticed the last 5,000 chip that Oh had back.

The flop came 7♥10♥4♠ and with Borenstein's hand exposed, both players checked through to the 3♥ turn card.

Oh decided that it was time to put the last of his money in and tossed his last chip into the middle, getting a quick check-call from Borenstein to officially put Oh at risk with one card to come.

A double looked promising for Oh but when the K♠ jumped out on the river, Oh was left with the second best hand and an exit from the tournament in 15th place for $13,875.

In a hand where Jianxin Wu's last 40,000 chips were all-in in the big blind, action folded to Ryan Leng on the button who raised to 80,000. The big blind got out of the way to set up a heads-up runout with Wu at risk.

The 6♦9♥7♥ flop looked like they were on their way to a chopped pot, but that all changed when Leng spiked the 4♣ on the turn to leave Wu drawing dead headed to the meaningless 8♠ river.

Wu exited the tournament area in 18th place for $10,495.
