Patterson Off to Hot Start

With roughly 1,000 in the pot and a flop of 3♥6♥K♣, Tyler Patterson checked from middle position his opponent to his direct left, Jonathan Newman, bet 500.

Patterson called and then action went check-check on the 10♦ turn.

When the K♦ paired the board on the river, Patterson tossed out a bet of 3,500 and Newman hit the tank. He seemed suspicious and thought for about a minute, but ultimately he released his hand.

It was a small pot for Patterson, who has gotten off to a good start here on Day 1a with nearly double the starting stack.
