Docherty Leaves Engel on Fumes

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
David Docherty
David Docherty

David Docherty bet 1,100 from the cutoff on a flop of 1098 and Ari Engel raised to 4,000 in the big blind. Docherty called and the K fell on the turn.

Engel then bet 7,200 and Docherty again called. The river was the Q and Engel bet 24,000. Docherty then moved all in.

Engel called and turned over Q5 for a flush but already suspected he was beat and was getting up from his chair even before Docherty turned over his cards. Docherty confirmed his suspicions when he showed A6 for the nut flush.

The stacks were counted down and Docherty had 29,200, leaving Engel with just a single 1,000 chip behind.
