Wantman Gets a Rare Bluff Through

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Matthew Wantman bet 11,000 from middle position on a board of K67J and Alejandro Lococo called under the gun.

The river was the 10 and Wantman moved all in for around 30,000. Lococo quickly turned over ace-king and tossed his cards into the muck.

Wantman flashed the 10 as he went to take the pot. "Show the other one," Lococo pleaded, and Wantman obliged by showing the A.

"I thought he called when he turned his hand over. I was like, f**k," Wantman said.

"He usually has it. That's like one in a 100 times he bluffed," a tablemate added.

Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson opened to 2,500 in early position and was called by Gregory Blucher in the small blind. Louise Francoeur then tossed in the call from the big blind and the dealer fanned out the Q74 flop.

All three players checked to the J turn, where Blucher led out for 3,000. Francoeur and Jacobson both made the call.

The J river saw Blucher slow down with a check before Francoeur fired 7,500. Jacobson answered with a raise to 22,000, producing a quick fold from Blucher.

Francoeur took a moment before also sliding her cards to the dealer and Jacobson raked in the pot without a showdown.

Shakerchi Rivers Greenberg to Score a KO

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Lawrence Greenberg opened from early position and was called by Talal Shakerchi in the big blind.

On the K65 flop, Greenberg continued for 2,400 before Shakerchi check-raised to 9,000. Greenberg immediately slid his entire stack forward as he was all-in for around 40,000. Shakerchi was uncomfortable with the situation but he shrugged and called to put Greenberg at risk.

Lawrence Greenberg: 87 All in
Talal Shakerchi: 104

Shakerchi was surprisingly ahead with ten-high and had the better of the two flush draws. However, Greenberg hit his open-ender on the 9 to take the lead. But, the dealer peeled the Q on the river to give Shakerchi a higher flush as Greenberg was sent to the rail late in the night.
