Sabia Doubles Through Geng

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Shuofei Geng opened from early position before Matthew Sabia three-bet from the cutoff. When the action got back to Geng, he four-bet jammed as the covering stack and Sabia snapped it off for for 66,500.

Sabia was in great shape to find the double and it stayed that way on the 10434J runout as Sabia faded Geng's chop outs and win-outs to secure the double.

Carnero Gets Paid Off With Aces

Niroshan Loganathan opened to 6,000 from the hijack and Martin Carnero three-bet to 30,000 from the small blind. Loganathan made the call.

Both players checked the Q102 flop leading to the 5 turn. Carnero bet 45,000 and Loganathan called. Both players then checked the J river.

Carnero turned over two pair with AA and Loganathan mucked.

John Racener raised to 5,000 in middle position, Terrance Reid three-bet to 13,000 on the button, and Racener called.

The flop came AQ8 and Reid continued for 7,500. Racener called and both players checked the 3 turn.

The river was the 2 and Racener moved all in for 44,500. Reid snap-called and turned over AK, but Racener had AQ for top two pair to win the pot and double up.

Devereaux Doubles Through Medved

With two players seeing a board of 410A and around 30,000 in the middle, John Devereaux was all in from under the gun for 115,500 and up against Eric Medved who had him covered from the small blind.

Upeshka DeSilva and Orestis Kanakopoulos built a pot of around 50,000 as they went to the turn with the board showing AK94. DeSilva then bet 42,000 from the cutoff and Kanakopoulos called in the big blind.

Kanakopoulos checked the A river and DeSilva checked back this time. Kanakopoulos then showed A9 for a full house.

"Whew. Bad river, good river," DeSilva said as he flashed K9 before mucking.

Taylor Hits the Rail

Stuart Taylor moved all-in for 13,000 under the gun and was called by Mark Dube in the small blind and Sergei Kislinskii in the big blind.

On the AQ10 flop, Dube check-folded to a 10,000 bet from Kislinskii after some thought.

Stuart was still in the lead with his pair but Kislinskii had overcards, a gutshot, and a flush draw. The 3 on the turn immediately sealed it for Kislinskii as Taylor headed for the exit as the irrelevant 6 landed on the river.

Jordan Glazer opened the cutoff and John Monnette defended his big blind.

On the 533 flop, Glazer continued for 5,000 and Monnette put in the call.

Monnette check-called another bet on the 7 turn after some deliberation.

The river brought the 9. Monnette opted to lead for 4,000 and Glazer snapped it off.

Steven Maddison, who won a Gold Pass via a CNE Second Chance freeroll, got his last 20,500 all in preflop and was flipping for his tournament life against Grant Wang.

Maddison was in need of improvement and got it when the A210 flop paired his ace. The Q turn gave both players straight outs, and the J completed the board on the river. Wang made a set of jacks but it was no good as Maddison made a Broadway straight.

Wang was left with 22,000 after but lost it all a few hands later.

Grant Wang moved all in for his last 20,000 in the hijack, Ben Ludlow reshoved on the button, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Wang took the lead on the Q93 flop with a pair of queens, while the 2 turn left him a card away from a double up. Ludlow caught the A on the river and Wang was sent to the rail.
