Shu Makes the Right Call

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player in early position opened to 3,300 and Jessica Shu called in the hijack. The small blind called before the big blind player moved all in for 23,100. The initial raiser folded but Shu made the call.

The board ran out 106975 and after a sweaty flop, Shu held on to send her opponent home and chip up.

Satyarthi Fills Up on the River

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action was picked up on the river with roughly 18,000 in the pot, and the board showing Q8AJJ.

A player bet out 10,000, when Divyam Satyarthi raised them all in, for a total of 25,000. The original bettor made the call, to put himself at risk.

Satyarthi tabled QJ for a full house jack full of queens. His opponent showed AQ for top two pair before exiting the tournament area.

Lee Flops a Set of Queens to Knockout a Player

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Arshdeep Virk raised to 3,500 from under the gun, and Grant Lee three-bet all in for 33,700 from middle position. It then folded to the big blind, who went all in for 5,700. Virk got out of the way to leave the two players heads up, with the big blind at risk.

Lee was in a great spot to chip up, and once the board ran out 4Q8JA Lee improved to a set of queens, to eliminate the big blind.

Ward Doubles

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Khalee Ward open-ripped his 36,000-chip stack into the middle from under the gun and action folded around to the big blind. He made the call, and it was a fair fight.

The dealer spread a J35K2 board and Ward's pair of jacks was good enough to drag in the pot.

Rothschild Takes a Small one From Ibrahim

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action folded to Luke Rothschild, the winner of Event 1 $550 PSPC, and he raised to 2,500. He was only called by Kareem Ibrahim in the cutoff.

The flop came Q97 and Ibrahim check-called a bet of 3,000.

Once the turn came the A Ibrahim checked to Rothschild who bet out 6,000 and got a quick fold from Ibrahim to take the pot.

Nguyen Makes Kings Full for the Knockout

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action folded to Richard Milo in early position, and he raised to 3,200. Then Russell Rothstein three-bet all in for 6,500 from the hijack, which was quickly called by the John Nguyen in the cutoff. Once it folded back to Milo, it was three players in the pot, with Rothstein at risk.

Once the flop came K6Q Milo checked to Nguyen, who bet out 25,000, and got a quick fold from Milo, leaving Nguyen and Rothstein heads up.

Rothstein would need running cards to stay in the tournament after Nguyen paired his king. But after the 6 hit the turn, Rothstein was drawing dead, and the K officially eliminated him as Nguyen improved to a full house, kings full of sixes.

Ruiz Takes From Hyman

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was picked up on a 958 flop with 8,000 in the middle.

Diego Ruiz bet 2,200 from the hijack and the button player called. Jared Hyman raised to 11,000 from middle position and Ruiz made the call.

Both players checked the 8 turn before Ruiz wagered 25,000 on the 9 river. Hyman called and lost to 97. He showed 1010 before mucking.

Ibrahim Eliminates Stoeber

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The cutoff opened to 2,500 and Kareem Ibrahim called in the small blind. Jonathan Stoeber three-bet to 11,000 from the big blind and Ibrahim made the call.

Stoeber continued for 8,000 on 1026 and Ibrahim made the call.

Ibrahim led for 25,000 on the 6 turn and Stoeber called all in for less.

The river 9 did not improve Stoeber, and he was sent to the rail.
