Kyte Makes a "Suicidal Bluff"; Loeliger Bluffs Off to Lewis
Jon Kyte and Adi Aizin went heads-up to the river on a board of A♥8♥7♣10♥7♦ with around 200,000 in the pot. Kyte then bet 110,000 from the big blind before Aizin raised to 380,000 in early position.
Kyte spent a minute counting out the wall of chips in front of him before sliding forward a reraise to 850,000. Aizin snap-folded, and Kyte showed K♣2♣ for a bluff. "First suicidal bluff of the tournament," he said.
A few hands later at this table, Loic Dobrigna had bet 40,000 from under the gun on a flop of 9♦K♠8♠ and Jack Hardcastle called in the big blind.
Dobrigna bet 115,000 on the 4♣ turn, and Hardcastle again called. The river was the 7♥ and Dobrigna moved all in. Hardcastle had around 215,000 remaining and took a minute before folding.
Meanwhile, Paulina Loeliger and Toby Lewis had built a pot of around 400,000 as they went to the river on a completed board of 7♠Q♥J♥6♥2♥. Loeliger then moved all in for 300,000 in the hijack, and Lewis snap-called in the small blind.
Lewis showed A♥J♠ for the nut flush, and Loeliger could only show K♠8♠ as she headed to the rail.
