$1,100 PS Open Main Event
Day 2 Completed
The 2025 PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas is now in full swing at Resorts World Las Vegas as Day 2 of the $1,100 PS Open Main Event took centre stage. There were 365 players who took their seats to begin the day, many of whom registered just minutes prior. After ten 60-minute levels, the field was dwindled down to just 43 players who will be returning for Day 3, where a champion will be crowned.
Nearly a seven-figure prizepool was created for this opening event, with $909,120 up for grabs. The lion's share has yet to be handed out as the winner will be walking away with $158,700 for their efforts.
The field was littered with household names but it was the poker media who made the biggest headlines throughout the day. When the dust settled, Terrance Reid made his way to the top of the leaderboard with a stack of 1,695,000 as he looks to claim his biggest title on the felt. On the heels of a late-night surge due to the eliminations of Jared Jaffee and Cody Weigmann, Reid bolstered his chip stack with some aggressive play in the last level of the night.
Heading into the final day of this event, he will have to keep his eyes on the star-studded field closely following behind him. The likes of Aaron Massey, Dan Sepiol, and Jack Hardcastle all have seven-figure stacks to work with.

Despite some of the poker media coming away with the positive headlines, it was Donnie Peters who made the highlight reel for the wrong reason. With just 135 players getting paid, the field was getting set for the hand-for-hand portion of the event when an all-in occurred. Peters three-bet shoved his stack of around 20 big blinds but ran straight into the pocket aces of Adam Lopez. It was an uphill fight for Peters who held ace-king but a lone pair of kings would not be enough.
The remaining 135 players all locked up a min-cash worth $1,750. That led to a flurry of short stacks heading to the payout desk which included the likes of Matthew Salsberg, Chris Hunichen, and Nick Palma, whose table breathed a sigh of relief from the chatter that Palma always brings to the table.
The stage has been set for the final day of this event with just 43 players returning, all with the hopes of claiming that prestigious PokerStars Spadie that everyone wants to add to their trophy collection. The action will get underway at 12 p.m. PST with the blinds resuming at 10,000/15,000 and a 15,000 big blind ante. The levels will continue to be 60 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every two levels.
Buckle up as it could be a long one with such a deep structure and so many chips in play. The PokerNews live reporting team will be here to bring you all of the coverage en route to crowning a winner in the late-night hours.

Day 2 has ended with 43 players remaining.
Stay tuned for full chip counts and a recap of the day's action.
On the final hand of the night, Andrew Moreno moved all in from the small blind and Paulina Loeliger called for 148,000 in the big blind.
Paulina Loeliger: J♣10♣
Andrew Moreno: 5♥3♥
The J♥J♠2♥ flop gave Loeliger trips, while Moreno picked up a flush draw. The 5♣ turn was safe for Loeliger, while the 5♠ river gave Moreno his own trips but it wasn't enough for him to avoid handing over the late double up.

Tan was racing for his tournament life on one of the last hands of the night, and he caught top pair on the J♣4♠3♦ flop to take the lead. The rest of the board ran out 3♠9♣ and Tan survived.

Tournament officials announced that players will see four more hands before bagging up for the night.
Fresh off sending Jared Jaffee, the Day start-of-day chip leader, to the payout desk, Terrance Reid was back at it with a raise to 25,000 in the cutoff. Cody Wiegmann shipped all in for around 275,000 in the big blind and Reid quickly called.
Cody Wiegmann: A♥K♦
Terrance Reid: J♠J♥
The flop came Q♠8♠6♠ and Wiegmann's outs were narrowed further with Reid holding the lone flush draw. The 2♣ and 7♦ runout changed nothing and Reid claimed another victim as he soared to the top of the leaderboard.

Yossi Krispin raised to 24,000 under the gun before Jack Hardcastle three-bet to 60,000 in the hijack. Krispin then moved all in for 230,000, and Hardcastle quickly called.
Yossi Krispin: J♣J♦
Jack Hardcastle: A♦K♠
Krispin was racing for his tournament life in the closing moments of the day, but he immediately fell behind as the flop came 8♥K♦9♥ to give Hardcastle top pair. The turn was the 9♦, while Hardcastle improved to a full house on the K♥ river to secure the pot and send Krispin to the rail.
