Mamut Calls Down Kang
Jon Kyte raised to 200,000 in the cutoff before Toby Lewis three-bet to 700,000 in the small blind. Kyte gave the decision some thought, but he eventually folded and Lewis took the pot.
Terrance Reid then raised to 200,000 in the hijack and Nikolai Mamut called in the small blind.
The flop came A♣8♣8♥ and Reid bet 135,000. Mamut called, and they both checked the 7♣ turn.
Mamut led out for 625,000 on the 3♥ river and Reid quickly gave up his hand.
The next hand, Mamut opened to 200,000 on the button and Andrew Kang called in the big blind.
Mamut continued for 135,000 on the A♠Q♥5♣ flop and Kang called. Both players then checked the 6♠ turn.
Kang led out for 250,000 on the A♥ river, and Mamut called. Kang showed 8♦5♦ for two pair, aces and fives, but Mamut had Q♠7♠ for aces and queens to win the pot.
