Kenney Says Chidwick Will Pass Him on All-Time Money List

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Poker's two all-time money leaders, Bryn Kenney and Stephen Chidwick, are seated together at Table #2, and the player sitting between them, Cary Katz, started a discussion about whether Chidwick will surpass Kenney. Chidwick currently has $73.8 million in Hendon Mob earnings to Kenney's $78.7 million.

"You're just going to pass him," Katz said to Chidwick. "You're just too good and put in too much volume."

"Until they run the next million-dollar buy-in tournament!" quipped Kenney, who in 2019 won a record $20.5 million in the 2017 Triton Million for Charity. But Kenney eventually conceded that "I'm sure it will happen."

Chidwick didn't contribute much to the discussion and at one point stepped away to grab a drink of water.

"You Took Out the Poker Star!"

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Sparks flew at Table #2 as Jason Koon opened to 13,000 and Bryn Kenney called on the button before David Chen three-bet to 186,000 in the small blind with just a single chip behind.

Leon Sturm then four-bet jammed in the big blind and Koon quickly called as Kenney folded and Chen tossed in his remaining chip.

Jason Koon: AK All in
David Chen: JJ All in
Leon Sturm: 1010

The flop of 763 didn't change anything, but the J turn gave Chen a lock on the hand as the 6 river improved him to jacks full for a near triple as Koon was sent to the rail.

"Nice hand! You took out the poker star!" Cary Katz said before giving Chen a fist-bump.
