Mammen Makes a Patch-Worthy Fold to Shaw
Level 16
: Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Carl Shaw and Joshua Mammen saw the turn on a board of Q♥10♥6♥7♥ when Shaw bet 50,000 from the hijack. Mammen called under the gun.
The river was the 5♣ and Shaw bet another 150,000. "I have the king," Mammen said as he let out a big sigh.
Mammen took a minute before tossing the K♥ into the muck. Shaw went to return his cards face down, but the table implored him to show and he finally obliged by flashing the A♥.
"You deserve the patch," tablemate Thomas Boivin said to Mammen after his big fold.
