Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Rodney Spriggs Eliminated in 4th Place ($13,959)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Rodney Spriggs

Rodney Spriggs moved all-in three times in two orbits, winning two pots on the spot and then chopping a pot with Simon Webster.

On Spriggs's fourth shove, Kenny Baggett reshoved and everyone else folded.

Rodney Spriggs: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Kenny Baggett: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Spriggs would once again need help to stay alive, but this time it would not come as the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Spriggs exited the tournament in fourth place and will take home $13,959 for his performance this weekend.

Mike Marn Eliminated in 5th Place ($10,478)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Michael Marn

The action folded to Rodney Spriggs, who moved all-in for around 600,000 chips. Kenny Baggett and Simon Webster folded, but Mike Marn snap-called from the big blind.

Mike Marn: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Rodney Spriggs: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}

"That's about the worst hand I could be up against," Spriggs said, standing up.

Marn was up on his feet to join him when the flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Spriggs flopped a straight to put Marn well behind. The players all reacted with disbelief.

Marn would need a nine or ace to chop or running cards to a full house to stay alive in the tournament. The turn brought the {4-Clubs}, leaving Marn with just the chop outs.

The river paired the board with the {j-Spades}, and Marn makes an unexpected exit in 5th place for $10,478.

"I've gotta go back to playing more stupid," Spriggs said after Marn left the table. "That's how I win these things."

Mashir Khan Eliminated in 6th Place ($7,971)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mashir Khan
Mashir Khan

Simon Webster opened the action with a raise to 110,000. Mashir Khan made the call.

The dealer spread out a flop of {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Webster led out for 70,000 and Khan quickly announced all-in. Webster snapped him off.

Simon Webster: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Mashir Khan: {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Khan found himself behind but with the best flush draw.

He received no help from the {7-Hearts} turn nor the {6-Clubs} river, and was sent to the rail.

Khan exits the tournament in 6th place and will take home $7,971 for his efforts in the main event.

Pam Belote

The action folded to Pam Belote and she moved all-in for 335,000. Simon Webster, on Belote's left, called. Everyone else got out of the way and the hands were turned up.

Simon Webster: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Pam Belote: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

It's the same scenario Brant Jolly faced, and with much the same outcome as the board ran out all low cards {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Belote finished in 7th place for $6,171.

Steve Seffense Eliminated in 8th Place ($4,852)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Steve Seffense
Steve Seffense

The action folded to Steve Seffense in the cutoff and he moved all-in for 130,000. Mashir Khan called in the small blind and everyone else folded.

Steve Seffense: {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Mashir Khan: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Seffense is all-in and dominated, but only by a single pip, and must hit to win--or hope for high cards and a chopped pot.

The flop came {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, all but ending Seffense's tournament. The {5-Diamonds} fell on the turn, leaving Seffense drawing dead.

The {4-Hearts} completed the board, but the hand was already over.

Seffense goes out in 8th place and will take home $4,852 for his performance this weekend.
