Rob Yong packed up his things and began leaving the tournament area. "I give up. I don't want to play anymore," he said, and several other players at other tables asked if he had been eliminated. Yong, though, still had chips in front of him.

Meanwhile, Sean Rafael raised to 175,000 under the gun and Carlo van Ravenswoud reraised to 600,000 in the cutoff. Rafael moved all in, and Van Ravenswoud called for 95,000 more.

Garcia allowed Derwiche to choose two of his cards, and Derwiche turned over Q♣5♠. "You picked the wrong ones," Garcia told him.
