Thomas Eychenne raised to 105,000 in middle position before Rob Yong reraised to 360,000 in the hijack. "You know what I have," Yong told Eychenne.
"No, no. You can have other things," Eychenne replied as he called. Eychenne then moved all in for 600,000 on the J♥5♦7♥ flop, and Yong called.

Eychenne had flopped two pair to take the lead against Yong's aces, but the board ran out 4♠4♦ to give Yong aces and fours and the knockout.
"What hand can I have? He raised under the gun. I'm only going to do that with aces. It's my first PLO tournament," Yong added after the hand.
In a battle between the blinds, Jeremy Trojand got in his last 550,000 and was up against Laszlo Bujtas.

"I like my hand," Bujtas said heading to the flop, which came 10♥2♣3♥. The K♠ turn gave him top set and the lead, while the Q♣ completed the board on the river and sent Trojand to the rail.
"First pot I've won today," Bujtas said after the hand.

Filip Aleksic bet 110,000 from the cutoff on a flop of A♦10♥10♠ and Cesar Garcia called in the small blind.
The turn was the Q♦ and Aleksic bet another 600,000. Garcia again called, and the 5♣ fell on the river. Aleksic then moved all in for 1,075,000.
Garcia ended up burning through five time banks and tanking for several minutes before folding. "Show the bluff. Good for the game," tablemate Thomas Hueber implored Aleksic, but he returned his cards face down.
Martin Dam limped in from the cutoff before Phillip Wuinscher raised to 110,000 on the button. Dam called, and they saw a flop of A♦J♣2♣.
Wuinscher then bet 130,000, and Dam moved all in. Wuinscher snap-called for 445,000.

Wuinscher had flopped top set, but the Q♣ turn gave Dam the nut flush. Wuinscher needed to fill up on the river to survive, but he missed the 8♥ and was sent to the rail.
"Not your tournament, man. Sorry," tablemate Rob Yong consoled Wuinscher.
Siamak Shirazian moved all in for 250,000 from the cutoff and Sean Rafael put him at risk in the small blind.

Both players ended up with the same two pair going to the river on a board of 5♦K♣10♦10♥ and were poised to chop the pot, but Rafael spiked the A♠ on the river to make a straight and send Shirazian to the rail.
Youness Barakat was also eliminated at another table.
Cesar Garcia raised to 85,000 in the hijack and was called by Christopher Sly in the cutoff and Tom Vogelsang in the big blind.
The flop came 5♣4♣2♥ and Garcia bet 100,000. Only Vogelsang called.
The 4♥ fell on the turn and Vogelsang led out for 150,000. Garcia called, and the 9♠ fell on the river. Vogelsang then bet another 250,000.
Garcia tanked for a few seconds, but eventually folded this time. "I can do anything with this hand. Call, fold, or shove," Garcia said.
With registration now closed, tournament officials have announced the prize pool for this event.
There were 98 total entries, generating a prize pool of $4,800,000. The top 15 players will finish in the money and guarantee themselves $100,000, while the champion will earn $1,200,000.

Sergei Nesterenko raised to 75,000 in the cutoff before Maximilian Wieser reraised to 325,000 in the big blind. Nesterenko then moved all in, and Wieser called for 500,000.

The 9♥8♣6♥ flop kept Nesterenko in the lead with his queens, while the 7♥ turn improved him to a flush and left Wieser drawing dead. The river was the 9♠ and Wieser was sent to the rail.
At another table, a big pot was brewing between Espen Myrmo and Dafishh as they went to the river on a board of 7♦7♥Q♣6♥A♥ and around 800,000 already in the middle. Myrmo then bet 600,000 from the small blind, and Dafishh called under the gun.
Myrmo showed 8♥7♠7♣6♦ for quads. "No f**king way," Dafishh said as he flashed two queens.
"You lost the minimum," Myrmo told him.
