Joseph Oren raised to 600,000 under the gun and Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 1,800,000 on the button. Johan Guilbert then moved all in from the big blind, Oren folded, while Eibinger snap-called for 8,675,000.
Matthias Eibinger: K♠K♦
Johan Guilbert: J♥J♦
Eibinger had woken up with two kings and was a big favorite to double up against Guilbert's jacks. The A♥Q♣3♦6♣A♦ board offered no help to Guilbert, and Eibinger took the massive pot to move into the chip lead.
Matthias Eibinger raised to 650,000 in the cutoff with Q♦J♦ and Johan Guilbert called in the big blind.
Both players checked to the river on a board of 8♥8♦4♠6♦A♣. Eibinger then bet 925,000. "I think I have the best hand. It's difficult to call, but I think I have the best hand," Guilbert said as he used a time bank before folding 7♠6♥.
Tom Vogelsang then raised to 675,000 on the button and Guilbert and Joseph Oren came along from the blinds.
Vogelsang bet 300,000 on the A♦K♦K♥ flop, and only Guilbert called. Both players checked down the 9♠ turn and Q♥ river, and Vogelsang showed A♥6♣ for two pair. Guilbert mucked Q♣10♣.
Matthias Eibinger moved all in from the button and Sergio Fernandez called for 3,475,000 in the small blind.
Sergio Fernandez: A♠J♣
Matthias Eibinger: A♦Q♠
Fernandez was dominated and at risk, but he hit top pair on the J♦8♥7♣ flop to take the lead. The turn was the 7♥ and Eibinger was left with just three outs to avoid handing over most of his stack, and he spiked one of them on the Q♦ river to send Fernandez to the rail in fifth place.
Joseph Oren picked up Q♦Q♣ under the gun and raised to 550,000, but he found no callers and took the blinds and ante.
Tom Vogelsang then looked down at A♠A♦ under the gun and raised to 500,000. Oren three-bet to 1,400,000 on the button, Vogelsang came back with a four-bet to 2,800,000, and Oren folded K♠6♠.
Tom Vogelsang raised to 500,000 under the gun and Joseph Oren called in the cutoff with 5♠5♥.
Vogelsang checked the 7♥3♥2♣ flop, Oren bet 500,000, and Vogelsang folded J♣10♠.
While the hand was in progress, Johan Guilbert let out a yawn and rested his head on the table. "I'll wake you up when you're heads-up," Sergio Fernandez told him.
"Wake Me Up When September Ends," Matthias Eibinger added.
"Green Day. Good song," Guilbert replied.
"It was all the time in my mind yesterday because i folded 62 hands in a row before I woke up with aces. So it was like, wake me up. A new personal tightness record," Eibinger said.
Meanwhile, Oren had raised to 550,000 with K♣5♠ and Vogelsang defended Q♥2♥.
Oren continued for 650,000 on the J♠9♥4♠ flop, and Vogelsang again gave up his hand.
"You've knocked out two players, and Handz has knocked out two players. You need to win that battle," Eibinger told Guilbert.
"I don't pay attention to those things. More like who can get the longer massage," Guilbert replied.
