Turn Bet Takes It

Level 3 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Mehdi Chaoui raised to 2,000 on the button, and Daniel Reijmer defended in his big blind.

Reijmer opted to check-raise on the 59A flop, making it 12,000 after Chaoui had continued for 5,000, and Chaoui called the raise.

The J turn saw Reijmer slow down, reverting to checking. Chaoui bet 21,000, and Reijmer quickly gave it up.

Onyx SHRS Trophy

Some of the world’s best poker players will flock to Merit Royal Diamond for the Onyx High Roller Series, with more than $10 million in guarantees on the line across No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha events.

With the series expected to attract elite and fun player fields, Onyx has also outlined a clear set of tournament conditions ahead of time. One of those is a restriction on face coverings. When players have live cards during a hand, sunglasses, masks, scarves, and any intentional covering of the face will not be permitted.

It is one of several tournament rules confirmed ahead of a packed nine-day schedule that runs from August 7-16.

"I lose, Actually, I Don't Lose"

Level 3 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Italo Martin Palao Modena raised to 1,800 in the hijack, which Aliaksandr Shylko called in the cutoff before Mihai Niste called in the big blind.

The action checked to Shylko on a Q9J flop, who bet 2,800. Niste called, but Modena folded.

Both the Q turn and 6 turn checked through, and Shylko announced

"I lose", but when Niste flipped over A10 for just ace-high, Shylko reneged on his statement, saying, "Actually, I don't lose", tabling 22.

Alexey Borovkov raised to 1,800 on the button and called when Felipe Ketzer three-bet to 8,800 in the small blind.

After the dealer provided a 933 flop, Ketzer continued for 12,000, which drew a quick fold from Borovkov.

Aido Folds Out Lasouski

Level 2 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With a raise to 1,500 ahead of him, Sergio Aido three-bet to 5,300 on the button. Artsiom Lasouski responded with a cold four-bet to 13,500 in the big blind. The original raiser folded, but Aido called.

Lasouski continued for 11,000 on a 642 flop, and Aido called again. When the A turn joined the board, Lasouski slowed down and checked. Aido bet 20,000, which earned him the pot as Lasouski folded.

Ahmad Gets Three Streets of Value

Level 2 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Moussa Ahmad raised to 1,500 in the cutoff, which only Michael Allen called on the button.

Ahmad bet 2,500 on a J108 flop, and another 11,000 on the 6 turn, which Allen quickly called both times.

When Ahmad fired a third barrel on the 8 river, this time for 20,000, Allen gave it more consideration. After using two time extensions, he chose to call. It was bad news for Allen, who mucked his cards when Ahmad tabled 108 for a full house.

Second Bet Does the Job

Level 2 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Bora Kurtulos raised to 1,500 in the hijack, which both Moussa Ahmad and Jovan Kenjic called from the button and small blind.

When all three players checked on the 95J flop, Kenjic saw the green light to lead out for 5,000 on the 5 turn. Kurtulos folded, but Ahmad called.

Kenjic bet again on the 3 river, this time for 4,000. Ahmad wasted no time in letting go of his cards.
