Chan Chips Up

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Andy Chan
Andy Chan

Andy Chan has just took down a nice pot from the big stack of Ning Sun.

There was around 13,000 in the middle when we arrived, and a {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs} board out there. Sun led for 7,000 from the under-the-gun seat and Chan called on the button to bring the {6-Hearts} river. Sun didn't slow down, firing out a bet of 10,000. For a second it looked like Chan was considering moving all-in as he stacked all his chips in one pile. Eventually, though, he just tossed in a call.

Sun showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, but that was second best against Chan's {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Chan's up to 77,000 now, while Sun dips to 88,000.

Bo's On The Go

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Sam Cheong kicked this one off with a cutoff open, called by both Zhen Kuang on the button and Hu Bo in the big blind. The dealer spread a {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop and Cheong continued for 3,000 when checked to. Kuang came along, and Bo matched it too.

The {5-Hearts} then landed on the turn, inspiring no more action. After three checks they saw the {j-Diamonds} river, and again it checked through. Bo turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and Cheong started to laugh before he mucked. Kuang would end up mucking too, dropping to just 11,000, whilem Cheong now has 42,000 and Bo increases to 74,000.

Xiong Collects

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Phanlert Sukonthachartnant opened to 1,700 from the lojack and that got a call from Hao Xiong on the button. Ning Sun came along from the big blind too, and the three went to a {5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop which checked through.

The dealer burned and turned the {a-Clubs} and now when it checked to Sukonthachartnant he made a delayed continuation bet worth 1,800. Xiong called quickly, but Sun left the party.

That brought the {3-Hearts} river, and both opted for a check. Xiong saw his {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} was best against Sukonthachartnant's {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}, and that meant the pot shipped his way.

Big Pot for Anson

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

In one of the last hands before the break, Yongbin Wang limped under the gun before Dzmitry Rabotkin raised to 2,500 from middle position. It then folded to Anson Tsang on the button and he made the call, while Wang let it go.

Heads-up to a {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{a-Spades} flop, Rabotkin opted not to continuation bet and checked it. Tsang took the betting lead for 2,800, but Rabotkin didn't budge bringing the {5-Clubs} turn. Rabotkin checked again and now Tsang fired 6,500 into the pot. Again, Rabotkin called.

The {j-Hearts} river completed the board and Rabotkin checked a third time. Tsang moved all-in for 12,250, and Rabotkin began studying the size of the pot. He gave it some thought but would end up letting it go, leaving himself with 15,200. Tsang, meanwhile, is up to 37,400.

Sukonthachartnant Chips Up

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Hao Xiang made it 1,300 to go from the UTG+1 seat, and it folded around to Phanlert Sukonthachartnant in the small blind. He would make the call, and Mauro Francolini would defend his big blind to see a {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop.

It checked to the raiser and Xiang made a continuation bet worth 2,300. Over to Sukonthachartnant, the Thailand all-time money leader came in for a raise to 5,500, which quickly shook off Francolini. Xiang considered his options, but in the end settled on a fold.

Francolini is in the dangerzone now with 10,500 remaining - less than 20 big blinds.
