Brady Climbing Back

Action folded around to the small blind and he raised to 600 with Matt Brady still to act in the big blind. Brady made the call and the two players witnessed a flop of {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {6-Clubs}. The small blind checked and Brady fired 800. The small blind called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {K-Diamonds} fall on the river. The small blind led with a bet of 1,600 and Brady called.

The small blind rolled over {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} for a missed draw and Brady was awarded the pot holding {9-Spades} {6-Spades}. The defending champ is back up to 14,000 chips.

Prager Goes Out

Josh Prager
Josh Prager
Josh Prager was all in before the flop with {A-?} {K-?}, and Stephanie Alderman looked him up with the bigger stack and a pocket pair: {8-?} {8-?}.

The board ran out dry for the pro, and Prager wished his table luck before slowly pacing out the door.

Not Thrilled

The flop was {Q-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {5-Clubs} and two players checked to Will "The Thrill" Failla. He fired a bet of an unknown amount and got only one of the players to fold. The turn brought the {2-Spades} and the player that came along checked to Failla. He fired out 800 this time and his opponent called.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and action went check, check. "One pair." announced Failla. His opponent turned over {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} as Failla flashed a pair of eights before mucking.

Failla is down to a not-so-thrilling 9,400.

The Champ Slips More

Matt Brady bet the turn on a board of {J-Spades} {10-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} after his opponent checked the action to him. The bet was for 1,525 and the player made the call.

The river produced the {7-Hearts} and Brady's opponent quickly fired 3,000. Brady tanked as he shifted in his chair. With Will "The Thrill" Failla looking on, Brady eventually mucked his hand.

"I had a flush draw and made a straight." said Brady's opponent. Brady just nodded in reply. He's now down to 10,400.

Short-Stacked Campagna Triples Up

Gavin Smith limped from early position, another player limped behind and Shawn Rice limped as well before the button raised to 650. Anthony Campagna was in the small blind and stuck his last 1,500 in the middle. Smith called after the table took turns wishing Campagna good luck. The next player folded, as did Rice, prompting the preflop raiser to put in another raise for a few thousand more and Smith quickly folded, incidentally exposing the {10-Diamonds}.

With only two players left, Campagna flipped up his {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and found himself up against the button's {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. The board ran out {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} giving Campagna a life-saving straight. He sat back down in his chair and collected his chips, moving up to about 5,000.

Gray Skies

The board was {K-Spades} {6-Spades} {4-Hearts} {2-Clubs} and action was checked to Craig Gray by his lone opponent. Gray fired 1,100 into a pot of 1,700. His opponent check-raised to 3,000. Gray made the call.

The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and the first player bet 4,100. Gray tanked before making the call. His opponent tabled {5-Spades} {3-Spades} for a straight and scooped the pot.

Gray dropped to 6,300.
