Rios Busts in 48th

Dorian Rios made it all the way down to just about the bubble when he stuck his last chips into the middle holding {8-Hearts} {8-Spades}. Travis "TravestyFund" Rice made the call holding {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds}.

The flop put Rice in the lead when a six flopped: {Q-Clubs} {10-Spades} {6-Hearts}. The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and the river the {J-Spades}. Unable to find an eight on the turn or river, Rios was sent to the rail in 48th place.

Mizrachi Losing Some Chips

Robert Mizrachi just finished mucking after getting three-bet by Eric "basebaldy" Baldwin when on the next hand he called a raise to 6,700 out of the big blind. The player that raised was John Venturini in the small blind.

The two players saw the flop come fown {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {7-Hearts}. Venturini fired 13,500 and Mizrachi called.

The turn and river were both checked after it came {10-Hearts} then {10-Spades}. Venturini tabled {K-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} and Mizrachi disgustedly mucked {8-Hearts} {6-Hearts}. He's still the chip leader, just down to about 500,000 chips.

Baldwin Shoves on Ng

Eric "basebaldy" Baldwin just picked up some more chips to move to 330,000. Victor Ng bet 26,000 into Baldwin on the turn with the board reading {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {2-Spades}. Baldwin moved all in to put the pressure back on Ng. If Ng made the call he would be at risk, but he backed away and mucked his hand.

Gator Chomped

Frank "gator93" Hernandez
Frank "gator93" Hernandez
On a flop showing {K-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, Elias Haikal and Frank "gator93" Hernandez got it all in with Hernandez' tournament life at risk. Hernandez showed up {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} for middle set, but his soul was crushed by Haikal's top set, {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}.

The turn was a blank {6-Spades}, as was the river {4-Clubs}. Looking for quads but finding none, gator93 has been eliminated from Day 3 with 49 players left. As he stood up, Hernandez said, "It's been a pleasure playing with you guys," wished them luck, and headed out the door.

Hellmuth finishes just a few spots out of the money
The next hand after picking up that recent four-way pot, Phil Hellmuth raised from under the gun to 8,000. Action folded around to John Venturini on the button and he reraised to 15,000. The two blinds released their hands and then Hellmuth moved all in. Venturini insta-called and tabled {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}. Hellmuth held {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}.

"We're gonna have a sweat." commented Robert Mizrachi.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}, but wasn't much of a sweat. The turn added the {6-Hearts} to the board and gave Hellmuth a flush draw. "Wow, I have a live draw." he said. as he stood behind his chair watching for the river that would determine his tournament life.

The river card was the {Q-Clubs} and Hellmuth failed to improve. Venturini's aces held up and he scooped the pot. Phil went around the table one by one and shook hands with each player while wishing them good luck in the rest of the tournament.

Hellmuth Picks Up a Pot

From early position, Phil Hellmuth limped for 2,400 after beginning the hand with 20,000. Action folded over to Eric "basebaldy" Baldwin and he limped as well. The small blind was John Venturini and he completed before Robert Mizrachi checked in the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} and action checked around before the {J-Hearts} hit the felt on the turn. Everyone checked to Hellmuth. "Four thousand, five hundred." he said, to which everyone folded.
