Hellmuth's Lottery Ticket Fails

A crowd was gathered around one of the tables on the far side of the room in a pot between two members of Team UltimateBet. The pot between eleven-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth and recent contestant on The Amazing Race Tiffany Michelle had grown to about 20,000 by the river. The board read {Q-Spades}

and Michelle fired 10,000 on the river. Hellmuth tanked and tanked, but eventually tossed in two pink T5,000 chips to make the call.

Michelle rolled over {K-Spades}

for trip queens and Hellmuth didn't move a muscle. A blank stare came over his face as he sat motionless. A few seconds passed before he eventually removed the chip from on top of his cards and mucked his hand. Just after that, the table drew new seat cards and broke.

"I lost the lottery at this table." said Hellmuth. "They dealt me four big hands and I lost them all."
