Jeff Hakim Eliminated in 14th Place ($14,290)

Jeff Hakim - 14th Place
Jeff Hakim - 14th Place

Chip leader Zsolt Vasvenszki raised to 27,000 from the button before Jeff Hakim moved all in from the small blind for 177,000. Vasvenszki made the call and held the {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Hakim held the {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, ahead for the time being.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Hakim ducks were still quacking. The turn gave Vasvenszki a few more outs when the {6-Spades} paired the board, meaning any king, queen, seven or four would give him the win.

The river hit one of those outs when the {K-Spades} spiked and Hakim's tournament was over. He finished in 14th place for $14,290. Hakim now has about $300,000 in live tournament earnings, but that's not where he does the bulk of his work. Hakim has well over $3.2 million in online tournament winnings, known mostly under the moniker "YoungSupremacy" on Full Tilt.

Vasvenszki Increases Lead Through Benyamine

David Benyamine was under the gun and raised to 31,000, his standard open at this level. Chip leader Zsolt Vasvenszki made the call from the next seat. Chris Karagulleyan tanked for a bit from the cutoff seat, but eventually decided to fold his hand after it looked like he might reraise. Everyone else folded and the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

On the flop, Benyamine fired 48,000 and aftera long, drawn out process of thought, Vasvenszki made the call to see the {9-Diamonds} land on the turn. Both players checked and the {J-Diamonds} fell on the river. Both checked again.

Benyamine tabled the {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for ten high and lost to the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for Vasvenszki. Benyamine slipped back to 345,000 in chips while Vasvenszki increased his chip lead to 940,000.

Jacks for Krause

After Foivos Pettas raised to 31,000 from middle position, Andreas Krause made the methodic call from the big blind. The flop came down {K-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and both players checked.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and they both checked again. There wouldn't be any betting until after the {K-Clubs} put two pair on board on the river. Krause fired 60,000 and Pettas tank-called.

Krause tabled the {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and won the pot to move over 400,000 in chips.

There hasn't been any significant action for a while, but we finally got something to tell you about and it's big news. Kfir Yamin has been eliminated in 15th place, making this bad news for his fan base.

Zsolt Vasvenszki raised to 27,000 from the hijack seat and Yamin moved all in from the big blind for 210,000. Vasvenszki thought for a bit and then made the call, holding the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. His hand was good and in fact dominating the {A-Hearts}{3-Spades} that Yamin held.

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} and that was the end of the line for Yamin. Vasvenszki moved to about 870,000 in chips while Yamin left with $14,290 in prize money.

Kelly Kim Eliminated in 16th Place ($12,995)

Kelly Kim (Day 3) - 16th Place
Kelly Kim (Day 3) - 16th Place

Unfortunately for Kelly Kim, he won't be making a deeper run than he did last year in this event, taking 11th place for $20,760.

After Foivos Pettas raised to 24,000, Kim moved all in for about 175,000 from the button. Martin Loeser was in the big blind and reraised all in to get some isolation. Pettas folded and just like last year when he busted, Kim was dominated on his final hand. He held the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Loeser the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

A final board of {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} left Kim felted and eliminated in 15th place for $12,995, making for a two-year total of $33,755 in Cyprus.
