Team Italy vs. Team Ukraine: Gnatenko Beats Dato

Level 1
Oleksandr Gnatenko
Oleksandr Gnatenko

Oleksandr Gnatenko raised from the button for 1,300 and Andrea Dato shoved from the big blind. Gnatenko knew enough; "All in call situation Table 4!"

Oleksandr Gnatenko: {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Andrea Dato: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}

"Team Ukraine must win, one time!" Gnatenko shouted.

"Oh no, you already used your one time" Dato laughed.

The {2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{K-Hearts} on the flop was full of blanks. The {3-Spades} on the turn gave Dato a straight draw and Gnatenko litteraly held his breath.

{6-Spades} on the river and Gnatenko cheered.

Level 1
George Danzer
George Danzer

All the pressure is now on Marc-Andre Ladouceur in his match up against Marvin Rettenmaier after Jonathan Duhamel lost against George Danzer. Andrew Chen had already lost against Ole Schemion and so far Canada remains at the bottom of the standings.

Duhamel moved all in before the flop for 9,550 and Danzer made the call.

Danzer: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Duhamel: {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Duhamel was knocked out.

Ladouceur has to win and Sylvain Loosli has to lose against Vladimir Troyanovskiy in order for Team Canada to advance.

Team France vs. Team Russia: Tedeschi Eliminated by Filatov

Level 1
Anatoly Filatov
Anatoly Filatov

Team France is now officially in trouble, as Paul Tedeschi just lost against Anatoly Filatov. France has now lost two matches and the pressure is now on Sylvain Loosli who's playing against Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

On the final hand of the match Tedeschi was all in before the flop for 12,550 and Filatov had him dominated.

Filatov: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Tedeschi: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Filatov put his sunglasses on before the dealer brought out the flop and said, "If the seven comes you will not see how I cry," and everybody watching cracked up laughing.

The flop brought {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Filatov maintained his lead.

"Let me take a selfie," Filatov joked, as he took a selfie with the board in the background when the dealer put the {2-Clubs} on the turn.

The river was the {5-Diamonds} and that secured another win for Team Russia against Team France.

Team Germany vs. Team Canada: Duhamel Doubles

Level 1

Jonathan Duhamel and George Danzer got their chips in the middle before the flop. Duhamel was the one at risk, trying to double his 5,450 stack.

George Danzer: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Jonathan Duhamel: {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The flop came {5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades} and the German enclave here in Malta sounded disappointed. The {3-Diamonds} gave them some hope, but the {8-Clubs} was a blank. Double up for Duhamel to 11,000. Danzer still leads with 29,000.

Team Italy vs. Team Ukraine: Gnatenko Doubles

Level 1

Andrea Dato open shoved from the button and Oleksandr Gnatenko in the big blind made the call for 8,075 instantly.

"All in and call situation Table 4!" Gnatenko shouted, continuing the tradition he started yesterday on Day 1 of the Global Poker Masters.

Andrea Dato: {10-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Oleksandr Gnatenko: {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Gnatenko was happy to pair his four; "One more four please."

The turn wasn't a four, but it was just as good with the {A-Diamonds}. The {9-Spades} on the river was a blank and Gnatenko doubled to just about even stacks.

Level 1
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier

Bertrand Grospellier folded himself all the way down to just 1,600 chips before calling all in when Ivan Soshnikov put him at risk once more.

Grospellier: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Soshnikov: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Grospellier shook his head, as he couldn't get anything going all match, and the board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to give Team Russia the victory. Team France is now in trouble, as they are near the bottom of the standings.

Team Germany vs. Team Canada: Danzer Extends His Lead

Level 1

Just now the board read {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} when George Danzer was holding {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a straight, with on top of that a redraw to a flush draw. Jonathan Duhamel had {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for two pair and it looked like this pot was going to blow up into epic proportions.

Duhamel bet 2,200 and Danzer made the call, after which the river was the {10-Spades}. Danzer made a flush and that slowed the action down, as there were four spades on the board. The action was checked and Danzer now holds a big chip lead with 33,000 versus 7,000.
