Hands #60-61: Five Bet With Kings

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Hand 60: Ivan Soshnikov opened for 4,100 from the small blind with {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Giuliano Bendinelli found a monster in the big blind with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and three bet to 10,500. Soshnikov stared down for a bit, and it seemed he had creative plans up his sleeve. He made it 25,000. Bendinelli wasn't so easily scared of course, with his kings he five bet to 42,000 and Soshnikov instantly folded.

Hand 61: Ivan Soshnikov folded his button. Giuliano Bendinelli found {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} in the small blind and opened for 4,000. Isaac Haxton had the same hand with his {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and made the call in position. Neither player flopped anything on {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts} but Bendinelli bet 4,500 anyway. Haxton made the call.

The {2-Hearts} on the turn was a blank and Bendinelli now checked. With 17,600 in the pot, Haxton checked behind. The {A-Clubs} on the river gave both players two pair. Bendinelli bet out 13,000 and Haxton called. Chopped pot. "Bad beat" Bendinelli laughed.

Hands #52-54: Team Italy Takes the Lead

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Hand 52: Ivan Soshnikov opened for 3,500 and Isaac Haxton in the big blind showed interest with his {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. In fact, Haxton was so interested he three bet to 12,000. Soshnikov, who's hand wasn't revealed yet at this point, folded.

Hand 53: Giuliano Bendinelli opened for 3,200 and both opponents folded.

Hand 54: Isaac Haxton folded his button and small blind Ivan Soshnikov opened for 3,200 with {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Giuliano Bendinelli in the big blind made the call. {K-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} on the flop and with 7,000 in the pot, Soshnikov bet 4,000. Bendinelli flatted in position. {A-Diamonds} on the turn and Soshnikov and Bendinelli both checked. The {2-Hearts} completed the board and again both players checked. Hand #51: Team Russia Doubles Through Team United States

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Ivan Soshnikov
Ivan Soshnikov

Hand 51: Isaac Haxton raised to 4,000 from the button and Ivan Soshnikov three-bet to 13,000 from the small blind on his first hand after the switch. Haxton called and the flop showed {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

Haxton held {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} but he was in trouble against Soshnikov's {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. The Russian player bet 15,000 and with three seconds left Haxton moved all in! Soshnikov snap-called and another all-in showdown was upon us.

The turn was the {5-Hearts} and the river the {7-Spades} which gave Team Russia a huge double up. All three teams are almost even now and this is all of a sudden a wide-open battle for who gets to play in the final round!

Hands #49-50: Italy Takes Another Timbank as Team USA makes Another Over Bet

Level 6 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Hand 49: We came back from a Team Germany exit interview to a flop of {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Bendinelli bet 9,000 with {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} from the small blind. Troyanovskiy folded his king nine from the big blind and another pot for Italy was the result.

Hand 50: Bendinelli opened for 2,400 with the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Isaac Haxton three bet to 8,400 from the small blind with {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Troyanovskiy folded his big blind and action was back on Team Italy. Bendinelli made the call and the pot grew to 18,300.

{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} on the flop and Haxton first to act. Team United States bet out 6,500 and Bendinelli made the call in position. 31,300 in the pot and the {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn, another over card for Bendinelli and now a gutshot for Haxton. Haxton decided to bet 32,000, more than the pot. Bendinelli's face showed he was a bit confused by this bet and he called for some extra time. Haxton and Smith objected to the timebank and indeed, Team Italy didn't have any timebanks left anymore this level. Bendinelli got 10 seconds and folded his pair of sixes.
