₱110,000 Main Event
Day 1b Started
Today there will be two starting days of the PokerStars Red Dragon Manila Main Event to give players a few more shots to claim their share of the ₱50,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Day 1b is set to start at 1 p.m. local time with the usual 40-minute levels while Day 1c starts at 8 p.m. with 20-minute levels. Both starting flights will have twelve levels of play on the schedule with a 15-minute break after every two hours.
Day 1 attracted 213 entries and out of all those entries, 60 players have made it through to Day 2 already. Sahil Agarwal won the Kickoff earlier this week and is looking for another deep run as he bagged 232,000 in chips. He is followed by Zheng Shi and Lester Edoc who won the Super High Roller two days ago. Many more familiar names have already made it through to Day 2 so won’t be back today to try again in either starting flight.
But players like Ankit Ahuja, Martin Stausholm, Thai Le, Alan Lau, Edgar Kim, Ignatius Meng, Nang Quang Nguyen, and Minh Le might be back to see if another bullet in the Main Event will hit the right target this time. But there will also be loads more other players trying to survive today as a maximum of two bullets per flight can be used to advance to the next stage as players can reenter once per starting day.
The PokerNews live reporting team will mainly be focusing on the action in Day 1b and provide some general updates for Day 1c so keep reading the updates right here to see who else will make it through to Day 2 at the Okada Manila.
