Gu Tank-Raises

Huidong Gu raised to 6,000 from under the gun and was called by Lei Yu in the middle position, Darren Chan in the hijack, Nang Quang Nguyen on the button, and Meng Li in the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Li checked and Gu continued with a bet of 18,000. Yu responded with a raise to 46,00 for action to fold back to Gu. Gu used a time bank and then three-bet to 130,000 for Yu to fold to.

The flop came {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, Wu checked and Li bet 6,000. Wu took a few seconds but opted to fold.

Mike Takayama is one of the most well-known Filipino players walking around and has just taken his seat. Takayama is also known for winning a Platinum Pass for the 2019 PSPC when he won the Main Event during the Manila Super Series in February 2018.

Another Platinum Pass is up for grabs here in Manila this year but only for the online qualifiers in the Main Event.

Kim Busts to Yu

Edgar Kim raised to 5,000 from the cutoff and Ryan Yu defended his big blind.

The flop came {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs} Yu check-raised the 4,000 continuation-bet of Kim to 12,000 which was called.

The turn brought them the {10-Clubs} and Yu fired 28,000 over the line which Kim called.

The {k-Clubs} completed the board and Yu barreled 125,000 over the line while Kim dived into the tank as he only had 96,000 left. After using three time banks, Kim called. Yu tabled {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the runner-runner flush, Kim looked resigned, shook his head, pushed his cards into the muck, and got up from his chair.

Yilu Has the Higher Kicker

Yilu Yuan has just taken his seat at the third table that was opened and some players have been moved there and got involved immediately.

Yuan raised to 5,000 from the cutoff and Dong Chen three-bet to 16,000 on the button. Action folded back to Yuan who made the call.

They both checked through the {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop to the {8-Hearts} on the turn. Yuan check-called the 20,000 bet of Chen.

The river completed the board with the {j-Clubs} and Yilu checked again. Chen now bet 60,000 and Yuan made the call. Chen tabled {k-Spades}{5-Spades} for the pair of kings but Yuan showed {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} for the same pair of kings but the higher kicker to scoop the pot.
