Murphy Flops a Set to Bust Connick and Pacini

Massimo Pacini raised to 1,000 under the gun and Thomas Murphy three-bet to 2,800 from the next seat. Craig Connick cold called from the small blind and Pacini also called.

The action checked to Murphy on the 8♦Q♣9♠ flop and he bet 3,000. Connick instantly check-shoved for 10,100 and Pacini jammed himself for roughly 25,000. Murphy snap-called to put both players at risk.

Murphy had a lock on the hand with middle set against the top pair of both of his opponents. Connick did have a gutshot straight draw, but the A♣ turn or 2♠ river didn't help. Murphy pulled in the pot, while Connick and Pacini was sent to the rail.

The action was picked up with around 17,000 in the middle on a board that read A♥K♦10♣9♥. Pablo Villena bet 8,500 from the blinds and Robertas Gludkinas called from the cutoff before Martin Mcalevey shoved for 55,000 from the button. Villena had the covering stack and jammed all in himself. Gludkinas folded and the cards were revealed.

Eamonn O'Reilly limped from early position and Robbie Bryant just called from the small blind before Koen Roelofsen raised to 3,500 out of the big blind, O'Reilly called, but Bryant folded.

Roelofsen bet 1,500 on the J♦6♦7♣ flop and O'Reilly instantly shoved for Roelofsen's remaining 19,000. Roelofsen thought it over a few moments before making the call.

Roelofsen was in bad shape with tens against the top pair of O'Reilly. Roelofsen couldn't find a ten to stay in the tournament as the rest of the board ran out 3♠9♦ and he was out.
