A short-stacked player moved all in for 12,000 from early position and Yongbok Hwang called out of the cutoff. The button and blinds all folded and the hands were turned on their backs.
Short Stack: A♠7♦
Yongbok Hwang: 8♠8♦
The 2♣3♣7♥ flop paired the short stack, but the 8♥ turn locked up the hand for Hwang with a set of eights. The 2♦ river improved him to a full house and Hwang sent his opponent to the rail.
Action was heads up to the Q♥10♥J♥A♠ turn, where Chris Schonbach checked from the small blind. John Webb fired a bet of 5,000 into the middle and the call was made.
The dealer flipped over the 4♠ river and Schonbach checked again. Webb slid out 15,000 to take down the pot as Schonbach folded.
At a nearby table, Linda Rodrigues hit the rail when her K♥J♥ could not beat Kevin Cronin's K♠Q♠.
Over at Table 3, the board read A♠9♠Q♠6♣4♣ and the dealer was busy taking chips from the player in the small blind, who had the A♦2♥ in front of him, so that he could send it over to Sandra Drum, who had the A♥7♠ in the big blind.
Whether the chips went in preflop or on the flop is unknown, but the result is the same as Drum shipped the small double to keep her tournament hopes alive.

A preflop battle saw Sam Journeay get his stack of roughly 110,000 all in preflop against Richard Collier.
Sam Journeay: A♦A♣
Richard Collier: Q♥Q♦
Journeay was at risk but held the superior pocket pair. He took a hammerlock on the hand when the 8♣7♠A♠ flop delivered him a set and left Collier drawing to runner-runner queens.
The K♠ turn took away any shot of that happening and Collier was left drawing dead heading to the meaningless 10♦ river. Collier was left with just 5,000 after the hand and went bust shortly thereafter.
