Nash Takes from McQuillan

Action was three-way to the 3♠10♥6♣ flop, where Jeffery McQuillan led out for 4,000 in the small blind. Rob Garrett folded in the big blind before John Nash made the call in the cutoff.

McQuillan checked the A♠ turn and called after Nash fired 16,000 into the middle. Both players then declined to bet on the Q♥ river.

Nash tabled A♦7♦ for top pair, good enough to claim the pot as McQuillan mucked.

Dipasquale Takes One from Shenker

Al Shenker limped from middle position only to have Kevin Dipasquale raise to 10,000 from the cutoff. The button and blinds all folded and Shenker called to see a flop of K♦10♦8♠.

Both players checked, the 6♣ appeared on the turn, and Shenker bet 15,000. Dipasquale called and then both players returned to checking on the K♥ river.

Shenker tabled the 7♥7♠ but it was no good as Dipasquale rolled over the J♣10♣ for a bigger two pair.

Kutukov Busts But Promptly Reenters

Kutukov was looking to get lucky but it didn't happen as the board ran out a clean 7♥K♣J♠Q♦5♥.

Kutukov was eliminated from the tournament but immediately made his way to the registration desk to reenter. As fate would have it, he drew the same seat he had just vacated and sat back down to the right of O'Hare.

Mike LaMontagne and Linda Swears were facing off as the 4♣Q♠8♥ board saw the 5♣ turn added. LaMontagne led out from middle position for 10,000 and Swears made the call on the button.

LaMontagne slowed down with a check on the 6♦ river and Swears took some time before announcing a bet of 21,000. LaMontagne opted to fold and showing 9♠9♣, with Swears raking in the pot.
