Fishman vs. Kuperschmid in Flush-Over-Flush Battle

Level 5 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jordan Fishman
Jordan Fishman

In one of the last hands of Level 5, the under-the-gun player raised to 3,000, and one player called before Jordan Fishman did the same from middle position. The player in the cutoff called, Jason Kuperschmid came along from the small blind, and five players saw a flop of J39.

Three checks saw Fishman bet 8,000, and only Kuperschmid called to see the A turn. Both players checked, and the 7 river put three diamonds on board. Kuperschmid bet big to the tune of 35,000, and Fishman quickly called.

Kuperschmid tabled the 56 for a rivered flush, but it was no good as Fishman had a bigger one with the KQ.

Two Big Back-to-Back Hands for Bowden

Level 5 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With around 12,000 in the pot, it was heads-up action headed to a flop of 10KQ.

The player in the big blind checked and Jeff "Sir" Bowden bet 13,000. His opponent then check-raised all in and Bowden snap-called off for 39,700 total.

Jeff Bowden: AJ All in
Opponent: A5

Bowden had flopped the joint with a Broadway straight but he wasn't out of the woods as the big blind flopped a flush draw. Fortunately for Bowden, neither the 3 turn nor 10 river put out a club and he doubled up.

In the very next hand, a player raised to 2,100 and Bowden called. The player he just doubled through then moved all in for 14,200 from the small blind, the original raiser folded, and Bowden called.

Opponent: Q10 All in
Jeff Bowden: A10

Bowden finished the job by eliminating his opponent after the board ran out 10A297.

Hwang Wins Without a Showdown

Level 4 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 2,000 and a player in middle position called. Yongbok Hwang called next to act, Richard Collier came along from the small blind, and it was four-way action to a flop of A53.

Collier checked, the original raiser continued for 2,500, and only Hwang called to see the Q turn.

Action went check-check and the 10 completed the board on the river. The under-the-gun player checked and Hwang bet 4,000. That did the trick as his opponent folded.

After an early position call, Adam Johnson raised to 2,200 in middle position and Joe Sheehan called on the button. The initial caller came along and the dealer fanned out the 97Q flop.

All three players checked to see the 2 turn, were Johnson followed a check by firing 3,600. Sheehan was the only caller to the 4 river.

Johnson checked to Sheehan, who slid out a bet of 5,000. After taking some time, Johnson opted to toss in a calling chip.

"Nice call," Sheehan said as he turned over AJ for ace-high. Johnson tabled 55 for a pair of fives to rake in the pot.
