In the last hand before the break, Harold Brooks flopped top pair with king-seven but he ran into the K♠Q♣ of Raphael Bsiri. The board ran out [KhTd2d5s2s and that spelled the end for Brooks right before the 26 remaining players out of 47 entries went into their final 15-minute break.
The live stream table will move back to the outer field and remain there for the last two hours of play.
The two biggest stacks in the Day 1b field remain on the live stream table with Banks Solomons and Panayiotis Giannakopoulos.
Ioannis Panagiopopoulos got his shorter stack in there on the J♠10♠5♦ flop to get looked up by Dan Zvonaru.
Ioannis Panagiopopoulos: 10♦10♥
Dan Zvonaru: J♣8♦
The Q♠ turn opened up some outs for an upset with the nines as outs, but the Q♦ river only improved Panagiopopoulos to a full house. Zvonaru had less than half the starting stack left and busted shortly after.
Muzamil Gothey raised and Imran Bhojani just called one seat over. Mr King also flatted and Andreas Hadjipaschali then three-bet to 13,000. Gothey got out of the way and Bhojani then squeezed to 51,000. Mr King called all-in for 45,700 in the cutoff and Hadjipaschali on the button then jammed for 139,100 total.
"I guess there is no way out," Bhojani said and tossed in calling chips.
Mr King: J♦J♣
Andreas Hadjipaschali: A♣10♠
Imran Bhojani: Q♣Q♥
The 8♦7♣5♥8♠2♣ board was clean for Bhojani to knock out two opponents this time.
With some 68,000 in the middle to the 8♥5♣3♣ flop, Nathan Pan in the small blind made it 35,000 to go. Dusko Radosavljevic from under apparently declared "raise" but only put in two T-25,000 chips. The floor was called and Radosavljevic, who barely speaks English, made it clear via Theuns Prinsloo and Dusan Pavlovic that he wanted to raise - hence it became a min-raise to 70,000.
Pan then jammed and Radosavljevic asked "how much?"
The all-in was for 131,800 and Radosavljevic used one time bank before he folded.
Panayiotis Giannakopoulos soared to a big stack on the live stream table which lost Dan Zvonaru, who re-entered for more pain to the very same table.
On the outer tables, Mr King from China jumped in only to lose more than half of his stack against the A♣K♣ of Jason Zhang on the K♥6♦3♣2♠8♦ runout.
Theuns Prinsloo was all-in for fumes with K♥10♣ against the K♣J♦ of Nathan Pan. It became a roller coaster runout of A♥10♦5♥J♥4♥ that saved Prinsloo.
Three ways to the 10♣7♠7♦ flop, the action checked to Jean Pierre Sgiaravello and he bet 16,000. Theuns Prinsloo folded with a short stack behind and Daniel van der Berg then said "I don't want to, because I only have two outs" as he mucked the 2♠2♣ face-up.
Before collecting the pot, Sgiaravello said "pick one" and van der Berg exposed the A♣. He eventually also got to see the other card, it was the 9♠ for a bluff.
The cards were already on their backs and Xuecheng Mi scored a double off Imran Bhojani when his K♥3♠ rivered the bottom end of the straight on the 6♠5♥5♣7♠4♥. That cracked the A♥9♠ of Imran Bhojani, who suffered a small setback.
On a flop of A♥5♠2♥, Thanos Vogiatzis bet-called the shove of Harold Brooks who was at risk for 54,500 total.
Harold Brooks: 9♥8♥
Thanos Vogiatzis: A♠3♣
The 8♣ turn gave Brooks some more outs and he nailed the flush with the 5♥ river.
