With the turn showing K♦Q♦5♣4♣, Harold Brooks in the big blind checked. Tim Feng bet 3,000 only to get check-raised to 10,000 and Feng called. Brooks fired a bet of 19,600 on the 4♠ river and Feng folded.
After the hand was over, Feng complained about the action in the hand as Brooks had no time banks next to his chips and the clock supposedly ran down.
According to the screens, there are 34 players out of 37 entries remaining. Dan Zvonaru was eliminated on the live stream table and re-entered into table eight to the seat that was vacated by JP Le Roux not long ago.
Floor staff has also confirmed that there will be no dinner break today and the action thus concludes well before 11 p.m. local time when the cash game with Dan Cates is supposed to kick off in the main casino area downstairs.
With some 10,000 in the middle to the 6♠4♠2♥ flop, Ryan James in the small blind led for 2,600 and was called by Theuns Prinsloo and Gopal Gorsia on the button. The 3♣ turn was checked to Gorsia, who bet 6,000 to force two folds. Despite winning this pot, Gorsia remains the shortest stack of all three players involved.
In a three-bet pot with 4,000 by JP Le Roux, multiple callers led to the 6♦6♥5♦ flop and Harold Brooks bet 7,600. Steven Radloff called and Le Roux then made it 20,000 to go, only Radloff called.
On the K♥ turn, Radloff pushed all-in and Le Roux called.
JP Le Roux: A♦A♣
Steven Radloff: 7♠6♠
The 9♠ river changed nothing and the stacks were counted. Radloff's 71,600 covered versus 70,500 to knock out Le Roux.
"I folded pocket nines," Brooks mentioned in the table chat.
The Day 1c field has grown to 33 entries of which as many players remain. Steven Radloff and Ryan James were joined by Sami Matar in the mix. In the meanwhile, the target stack satellite is down to six players and two tickets are up for grabs by the looks of it.
Thanos Vogiatzis made it 3,000 to go preflop and Robert Schwartz came along out of the blinds. They headed to the 8♣7♠3♣ flop on which Schwartz led for 2,000 and called a raise to 7,000. The K♥ turn saw Schwartz check-call for 27,000 and he checked the Q♥ river.
Vogiatzis bet 6,000 and was check-raised to 23,000 in order to call. Schwartz revealed 8♥7♥ for flopped two pair and Vogiatzis mucked the Q♣2♣ for a missed flush draw that became one pair.
Lukasz Jedrzejczyk raised to 1,000 from the cutoff and was called only by Cliton Taliwanth in the small blind. Taliwanth checked the J♥4♣3♥ flop and then called a continuation bet for 1,000. On the 7♠ turn they both checked and Taliwanth's bet of 7,000 on the 10♣ river shut down Jedrzejczyk.
There was already a substantial pot to the J♣8♣6♥7♠A♠ river on which Ilan Miller out of the big blind fired a bet of 12,000. Lydia Broodryk checked her stack behind carefully before she called and Miller tabled the 10♠9♠ for the turned nut straight to win a very healthy pot.
