Spier Flops the Goods
Level 5
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Cindy Spier raised to 3,000 in the cutoff and was called by an opponent in the big blind.
Spier continued for 1,600 on the K♣6♣8♣ flop, and her opponent called. The turn was the 8♠ and the big blind led out for 6,000. Spier called, and the 7♥ fell on the river.
The big blind then bet 17,000, and Spier quickly called once more. The big blind could only show A♣10♦ for ace-high, while Spier turned over Q♣J♣ for a flopped flush to win the pot.
