Luck is On Ho's Side

Around 25,000 was in the pot as Sam Ho and an opponent went to the turn on a board of 3♦Q♥5♠9♣. Ho then got in his last 14,000 from early position, and his opponent put him at risk in the hijack.

Ho showed 8♥8♠, but he was crushed by his opponent's J♠J♣. The river, though, brought the 8♣ and the table erupted as Ho spiked a miracle set to double up.

Another tablemate then explained that Ho was all in earlier with jacks against aces but hit a jack to win the pot.
