Qu Slows Down Grabel

At another table, Eugene Curzio raised to 10,000 in the hijack and Robert Salera three-bet to 35,000 in the small blind. Curzio then moved all in for 80,000, and Salera snap-called.

After an exchange of preflop raises, Albert Hoffman under the gun and Christopher Ayers in the cutoff ended up with all their chips in the middle.

Hoffman had Ayers crushed with his aces and was poised to take down the big pot as the board came 6♣Q♣9♥7♠. The river, though, brought the J♥ to give Ayers a set.

The stacks were counted down, and Ayers' remaining 193,000 had Hoffman narrowly covered to send him to the rail.

Zimmerman Raises Out Bokor

In a blind versus blind battle, Torsten Boker led out for 10,000 on the 10♣7♦2♠9♦ board and Diane Zimmerman called.

Bokor bet another 16,000 on the 9♠ river, but this time Zimmerman came back with a raise to 45,000. Bokor quickly folded.

Joseph Crowley raised to 6,500 in early position and Christopher Caruso called in the cutoff. Alan Gendelman then moved all in for 40,000 on the button, Crowley called, and Caruso got out of the way.

Gendelman was already up from his seat after finding out he had run into Crowley's aces. The board came Q♦10♦8♦J♠, but the 9♣ river gave both players a straight and chopped the pot.

"That one's getting reported, Alan. You're the villain now," Caruso told Gendelman as he sat back down.

"At least I didn't have a lot of chips," Gendelman added.

"That's poker," Crowley said.

Verderamo Can't Raise Out Grabel

Grabel bet another 13,000 on the K♣ turn, and Verderamo raised to 35,000. Grabel called, and they both checked down the J♠ river.

Grabel turned over J♣10♠ for two pair, and Verderamo mucked.

The flop came 5♦J♥2♦ and Zimmerman bet 14,000. Boker called, and the Q♦ fell on the turn. Zimmerman then bet 23,500, and Boker called once more.

Both players checked the 9♦ river, and Boker showed A♠J♦ for a rivered flush. Zimmerman flashed two queens for top set as she mucked.

At another table, Nathan Bomey woke up with aces in a blind versus blind battle against Donovan Bates' jacks, but Bates spiked a jack on the flop to win the pot and send Bomey to the rail.
