Delavergne Lays Down a Set

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Mike Delavergne
Mike Delavergne

A heads-up pot between Mike Delavergne and Eddie Wines was already underway when we arrived at the table. As the betting action completed on the flop, the pot came to 11,000. After the dealer burned and turned, the board read {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}. Wines, first to act, moved all in for 8,700.

Delavergne shifted in his seat and then settled into the tank. It didn't take long, maybe half a minute, before he folded his hand face up, showing {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for bottom set.

So Many Familiar Faces

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

With the prize pool already well north of the guarantee, it's no surprise that players who have fallen short in earlier flights are back again for another shot at a payday. And with the venue's best-bag-forward option, there are even a few trying to best their existing chip total.

Kat Bowen Wins at Showdown

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Five players saw the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and Kat Bowen was the first to bet.

Bowen made it 800 to go and the player on the button called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Bowen checked. Her opponent bet 1,200 and Bowen called.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Bowen checked again. Her opponent bet 2,500 and Bowen called.

He showed {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} against the {8-}{8-} of Bowen who collected the pot.

Last Try

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Many of the players in the field at the start of play are returning for another shot at bagging for Day 2.

Samuel Whitstine is actually playing this flight, as opposed to just sitting on the rail while his wife Jonell Whitstine plays. She won a seat in one of the many $50 flip-and-go satellites and then won another seat in the mega satellite that just ended as Day 1E started.
