Byrraju Barrels, Janssen Joins

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Patrik Antonius raised to 500, Teun Mulder three-bet to 1,800, Rahul Byrraju four-bet to 5,000 on the button, Antonius folded, and Mulder called. On the {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Mulder called another 5k chip bet from Byrraju but check-folded to 10,000 on the {3-Spades} turn.

Tommie Janssen, who flew in from Amsterdam this morning, just sat down to play as well. With 9 players in, a second table will be opened to accommodate the players.

Koray Aldemir three-bet from the small blind to 3,300 and got calls from Pauli Ayras and Arto Autio.

Aldemir fired out a continuation-bet of 2,200 after the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} came on the flop and got calls from both his opponents. He fired out again, this time for 5,500 after the {9-Clubs} came on the turn. Ayras called and Autio folded.

There were no more bullets left in the chamber for Aldemir as he opted to check after the {q-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Ayras quickly bet 20,000 and Aldemir just as quick folded his hand.

Meanwhile, Antonius' quick break is over as after the hand he sat down with a fresh stack of 50,000 in chips with hopes of better results on his second bullet.

Mizrachi Draws from Ayras

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Robert Mizrachi wasted no time getting involved after a Pauli Ayras button raise to 500 and a three-bet to 2,100 from Artu Autio in the small blind. Mizrachi snap-called and Ayras came along as well.

The American took over the initiative on a {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop and led out for 4,000. Ayras called, while Autio winged his cards. On the {2-Diamonds} turn, Mizrachi quickly bet 10,000 and Ayras gave it up.

Patrik Antonius opened up from the cutoff to 500 and got a call from Timothy Adams from the button. Pauli Ayras three-bet to 2,500 from the small blind. Arto Autio cold-called from the big blind and both Antonius and Adams also called.

Ayras bet 2,500 after the {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} came on the flop and got calls from all three of his opponents.

"I like it," said Antonius after noticing the size of the pot.

Ayras and Autio checked after the {3-Clubs} came on the turn and Antonius jammed his remaining stack of 3,600. Adams called and the other two opponents folded.

"You are probably ahead," said Antonius before turning over {10-Spades}{7-Spades}. "I have ten-high."

"No you are ahead," said Adams before he showed {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

Although Antonius was ahead, Adams hit his open ended straight draw after the {9-Hearts} came on the river to win the hand. After the hand, Antonius shared that he was going to take a quick break and reenter.

Ayras Doubles Through Antonius

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante
Pauli Ayras
Pauli Ayras

As could be expected in the tournament that carries his name, Patrik Antonius is the catalyst to provide early action. He and Pauli Ayras were already building a decent-sized pot when the board read {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Antonius, first to act, checked and Ayras bet 12,000, which the Finn called out of position.

On the {4-Hearts} river, Antonius checked and Ayras moved all in for his remaining 26,900. With just twenty seconds to act, Antonius was soon forced to dip into his time extensions and burned through two of them before calling off the bet.

Ayras had it though, with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for trip eights, Antonius was forced to show {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for the decimation of his stack right off the bat.

Antonius Wins an Early One

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Patrik Antonius has already chipped up early on in the High Roller. Timothy Adams opened from under the gun to 500 and got calls from three players.

The action checked to Rahul Byrraju after the {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} came on the flop and he fired out for 1,500. Antonius check-raised up to 5,500 and Byrraju called.

Antonius quickly bet 8,500 after the {6-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Byrraju thought for a few seconds before tossing his hand in the muck.

Six Players Seated

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Among the players to start off the action early are Patrik Antonius, Teun Mulder, Timothy Adams, Rahul Byrraju, Pauli Ayras, and Arto Autio.
