Cheong Gets Value

Level 15 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The board read {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and there were 880,000 chips in the middle when we got to the table. Joseph Cheong bet 700,000 from the big blind, and after some consideration, the player in the hijack called. Cheong flipped over {5-Hearts}{4-} for trip fours, his opponent mucked, and Cheong took the pot.

Plesuv Doubles Through Mateos in Three-Way All-In

Level 16 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Pavel Plesuv raised to 225,000 from under the gun, the player in the hijack jammed for 1,255,000, Adrian Mateos called from the cutoff, Plesuv shoved for 3,055,000, and Mateos called to put Plesuv at risk.

Plesuv: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Mateos: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Hijack: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Mateos had the best of it by far and both of his opponents needed help from the deck to survive. When the flop came {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades} Plesuv made Broadway and took the lead to leave both other players drawing thin. The {3-Diamonds} turn and {10-Diamonds} river changed nothing, so Plesuv took the pot to double through Mateos and eliminate the player in the hijack.

Mateos Sends One Home

Level 16 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos raised to 225,000 from under the gun, the player in the small blind three-bet to 650,000, Mateos four-bet jammed to put the small blind to a decision for his stack, and he called.

Mateos: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Small blind: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Mateos had the preflop advantage and the small blind needed to improve to survive. After the board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} Mateos's kings were still best, so he took the pot to send his opponent to the rail.
