Action was folded roun to Julian Thomas in the cutoff, who declared, "this is a reeeeally good hand to limp," and tossed in a 5,000-value chip to call. Maxi Lehmanski completed from the small blind, and Paul Michaelis checked his option, happy to take the flop three ways.
Action checked round, with the the coming down on the turn. Lehmanski and Michaelis both checked again, but Thomas decided now was the time to start applying the pressure, betting 11,500. Lehmanski quickly folded, and Michaelis made the call.
The landed on the river, which Michaelis checked over to Thomas once more. Thomas launched 35,000 in, but no sooner had he done so, than Michaelis made the call.
Thomas very gracefully revealed for a missed combo draw. Michaelis needed to look twice, but then happily turned over his for top and bottom pair, dragging the six-figure pot.

Kenny Hallaert's stack vanished and almost at the same time, Michael Brandau suffered a big setback.
After Brandau limped, Manig Loeser raised to 12,000 and Brandau called. The flop fell and Brandau bet 16,000, then called the shove of Loeser for 71,500 with . Loeser was ahead preflop but suddenly needed help, tabling his . The turn and river paired the board and Brandau's two pair ended up second-best.

There are just 22 players remaining, as both Scott Hanna and Fabrice Halleux have been eliminated.
Hanna was the first to fall. Jan-Peter Jachtmann raised to 10,000 just when the blinds moved up and Kacper Pyzara three-bet to 35,000. Hanna shoved for 210,000 and Jachtmann folded, Pyzara called and had a flip for a big portion of his stack.
Scott Hanna:
Kacper Pyzara:
The flop paired up Pyzara, and Hanna failed to regain the lead with a blank turn and river.

Sander van Wesemael raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Michael Brandau moved all in for his last 23,000 from the cutoff. Manig Loeser clicked it up to 50,000 on the button and van der Wesemael moved all in to force out the German.

While Van Tiep Nguyen increased his stack, Julian Thomas went the other direction. Just now, Thomas helped himself back to an above-average stack though when defending his big blind against Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.
Thomas check-raised the flop from 12,500 to 36,000 and Grospellier called before the turn saw another check-raise by Thomas. Grospellier's second bet was for 33,000 and Thomas check-shoved for 130,000 with the Frenchman calling.
Julian Thomas:
Bertrand Grospellier:
The on the river improved's Thomas' already existing full house to a better one and Grospellier was left with dust. His last few chips vanished right after with against the of Van Tiep Nguyen despite picking up an additional flush draw.

We joined the action on a board in a hand between two partypoker sponsored pros, Anatoly Filatov and Jan-Peter Jachtmann, with roughly 50,000 in the middle.
After Filatov checked, Jachtmann went big, casually chucking in two pink 25,000-value chips. Filatov called, before the double-paired the board on the river, and checked over to Jachtmann one more time. Jachtmann piled up a stack of orange 5,000-value chips totally 100,000 and deliberately slid them over the line.
"You can only have king jack, right?" enquired Filatov.
"I can have nothing. Call me and I'll show you," responded Jachtmann, prompting Filatov to make the call.
Jachtmann turned over for a complete airball. Filatov tabled for jacks full, while scooping the big pot.

Kacper Pyzara moved all in for far more than the size of the pot with the board showing and Jan-Peter Jachtmann eventually folded.
Soon after, Pyzara took on fellow partypoker team pro Anatoly Filatov and both players invested 40,000 on the flop. After no action on the turn, Pyzara checked the river from the small blind and Filatov bet 225,000 on the button. That would be enough to win the pot without showdown, as Pyzara let go to preserve his big stack.
Over on the other table, Roman Cieslik's grind with a short stack came to an end, and the field was reduced to the last 18 hopefuls. Cieslik had just five big blinds remaining and was pushed all in by Michal Schuh with . Cieslik had and the Czech completed a straight to win the pot.

We joined the action on a flop in a hand between Maxi Lehmanski and Van Tien Nguyen. Lehmanski check-raised all-in, facing Nguyen's flop continuation bet. After some consideration, Nguyen made the call, and the cards were on their backs.
Lehmanski had for the gutshot flush draw combo, while Nguyen's just needed to hold on.
The turn paired the board, with the river pairing Nguyen's hand. Lehmanski wished his table good luck as he stood up to leave the tournament area.
