Surprise Exit!

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After taking the chiplead into the first break, Mica Tobosarevic is out! There were a few shocked expressions as heads turned to see Tobosarevic putting his bag on as the dealer declared, "seat open!"

It turns out he distributed his chips relatively evenly amongst the players on table 29 and, as his 269,000-chip stack crumbled, it was Klaus Aichholzer who took over role as chipleader.

Aichholzer's latest victim was Germany's Bodo Sbrzesny, who put his last 30,000 in with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} and failed to hold against {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} on an {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} runout. It was almost no surprise to the table that the ace would land for Aichholzer, suggesting this wasn't the first time he'd found his way out of a sticky situation. Luck or otherwise, his 253,000 chips currently leads our 62 remaining players.
