Chun Law raised this one up from mid position to 170,000, picking up Adam Maxwell from the cutoff and the rest of the table ducking out of the way. The pair went heads up to a flop, with Law continuing for 155,000. After some deliberation, Maxwell made the call and we saw on the turn. Law slowed down, checking it over to Maxwell who put in 305,000. Law put the call in and the dealer put the on the river.
Law checked the action over to Maxwell once again, and this time he went for the whole thing: 1,650,000 effective. Law went deep into the tank, eventually finding a pained fold.

Action was folded to Dillon Scanlan in the cutoff, who decided now was the time to make his move, mashing it all in for a total of 755,000. Braz Junior was on hand to make the call in the small blind, with Chuck Khuu in the big blind getting out of the way.
Dillon Scanlan's was in bad shape against Junior's , but only until the dealer banged the in the window. The and that accompanied it offered Junior a gutshot draw, and the turn gave him some trip outs, too. The river did nothing but improve Scanlan's pair to a straight, and he took the full double.
"Can you at least say it was suited?" he turned to me and pleaded.

Byron Sugars qualified for a Day 2 seat for just $2.20 three days ago. Fast-forward to today's Grand Prix UK Main Event Day 2E and Sugars is looking sweet for a Day 3 stack with over 2.6 million to his name.
"I've already cashed on a Day 2 online. I had 8 big blinds with a level to go and really just decided to go for it and run up a final day stack, knowing that I could always try again. As it happens, I've had to. But if I win, it'll be worth it."
Sugars would be winning twice in quick succession here at Dusk Till Dawn Casino, Europe's most popular cardroom. He took down the DTD200 event just weeks ago to bank £20,000, his best career cash to date. Tomorrow night could be very special indeed if it features the young father shooting for the prize of a lifetime for his family.
