Puchkov and Zukernik Get Big

Level 20 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Armen Khachatryan
Armen Khachatryan

Konstantin Puchkov sent Said Butba and Gurkan Gurgoren to the rail in quick succession to boost his stack significantly. Gurgoren was all in and at risk with the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Puchkov's {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} held up on a board of {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Spades}.

One table over, Armen Khachatryan could barely stop complaining in Russian while his stack of around 9.5 million was shipped over to table neighbor Philipp Zukernik. Khachatryan's pocket aces were already in the muck while Zukernik's {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} were tabled. The Canadian had improved to a straight on the board {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades} to rake in the big pot.

Yunuz Tuguz Eliminates a Player

Level 20 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Yunus Tuguz at the High Roller final table
Yunus Tuguz at the High Roller final table

A player in middle position opened to 500,000 and Yunus Tuguz three-bet to 1,650,000 from the small blind. The player in the big blind cold-called and the initial raiser folded.

Tuguz continued on a {3-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop for 1,300,000 and his opponent called. He then checked the {q-Spades} turn and his opponent bet 1,700,000. Tuguz called.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Tuguz checked to his opponent, who moved all in for around five million into a pot of eight million. Tuguz thought about his decision before calling with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. His opponent held {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} for just ace-high and was eliminated.

Tuguz boosted his stack up over 20 million chips.

Malyshev Doubles; Logunov Triples

Level 20 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Andrey Malyshev three-bet an open raise by Leonid Logunov and then called the four-bet shove for 10.5 million out of the small blind.

Andrey Malyshev: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Leonid Logunov: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and that hand left Logunov with just 2.2 million. He shoved the next hand and Gylbert Drolet called before Maksim Tyurin shoved over the top to see Drolet fold {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} face up.

Tyurin flipped over {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Logunov was in dire shape with his {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. He got there, however, thanks to the board {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and recovered some chips lost in the previous hand.

Razov Busts Two

Level 20 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Sergey Verkhoturov
Sergey Verkhoturov

Sergey Verkhoturov had stalled on the pay jump bubble for the top 100, as 99th place paid more and he would indeed make that jump before Andrey Razov limped under the gun. Verkhoturov moved all in from the small blind and Thomer Pidun shoved in the big blind, which Razov called.

Sergey Verkhoturov: {Q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Thomer Pidun: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Andrey Razov: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board came {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Razov sent two opponents to the rail.

Level 20 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Daria Feshchenko
Daria Feshchenko

While Timur Khamidullin and Vahe Martirosyan departed from neighboring tables, Daria Feshchenko was more fortunate. She moved all in for just 1.5 million on the button and Maksim Tyurin called in the small blind.

Feshchenko: {Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Tyurin: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Feshchenko found a queen to double.

Eduards Kudrjavcevs Eliminated by Oleksiy Kravchuk

Level 20 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Oleksiy Kravchuk opened and Eduards Kudrjavcevs three-bet to 1,375,000 from late position. Kravchuk then four-bet all in for 8,500,000 and Kudrjavcevs went into the tank.

Eventually, he called and tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and was up against Kravchuk's {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

"Six, nine," said a tablemate, calling for a chop. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and the table perked up in anticipation of the river card.

The river was the {5-Clubs}, pairing the five on the board, and Kudrjavcevs was eliminated.

A Big Double for Laka

Level 19 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
David Laka
David Laka

After a raise by the player under the gun and a call by Andrey Razov, David Laka came along from the big blind. Laka check-raised the {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop from 550,000 to 2.8 million. The initial raiser folded but Razov called to see the {4-Hearts} on the turn.

Laka shoved the turn for 7,450,000 and Razov reluctantly called with {A-}{J-} for top pair, top kicker.

Laka had the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts} for two pair and the {K-Diamonds} river was a blank, giving Laka the double up.

Merzhvinskiy Dominates the Feature Table

Level 19 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy
Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy

There were many seats open, including several on the live-streamed feature table. Anatoliy Filonenko's seat also became empty after he five-bet jammed pocket jacks into the pocket queens of Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy.

The latter appears to be massive chip leader right now with the top 100 spots getting close.
