Day 3 has come to an end in the partypoker MILLION North America Main Event in Montreal, Canada. When all was said and done, 37 players bagged chips and will return tomorrow for Day 4 at noon local time. The official chip leader at the conclusion of play was 2010 WSOP Bracelet winner, Scott Montgomery. The chip leader is also known for finishing in fifth place in the 2008 WSOP Main Event ($3,096,768), boasting lifetime earnings totaling $4,539,000. Montgomery finished the day with 83,450,000 chips, followed by Niall Farrell (79,000,000) and Philippe DAuteuil (71,300,000), to round out the top three stacks.

The day started with 173 players and 82 of them took home at least CA$10,000. Tim West was responsible for bursting the bubble about halfway through the day, eliminating Steven Walburton, who was down to less than a single ante. Once the players reached the money, eliminations came quickly and often. Familiar faces to finish in the money included Ryan Riess, Jason Koon, Sam Trickett, Mike McDonald, Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Darren Elias, Upeshka De Silva, and Cate Hall.

The remaining players will all be looking to reach the final table and take home the CA$1,000,000 first place prize, as they play down to the final eight players on Day 4. Here is a look at the remaining players, their chip counts, and seating assignments:

Sam Greenwood and Philippe D'Auteuil Play a 50-Million Chip Pot

Level 26 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Thomas Cemm raised to 1,600,000 from under the gun, and Philippe D'Auteuil three-bet to 3,700,000 from early position. Sam Greenwood was in the small blind and four-bet to 10,000. Cemm had about 17,000,000 chips total, and opted to fold. D'Auteuil thought for a moment and called.

The flop came {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and Greenwood tanked for a minute before leading out for 5,000,000. D'Auteuil called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}. Greenwood tanked again, this time for around two minutes. Eventually, he led out for 10,000,000. D'Auteuil went deep into the tank now, and thought for about five minutes before someone at the table called the clock. When the dealer informed him he had about five seconds left, he moved all in. Greenwood quickly took his headphones off and obviously looked disappointed. He thought for less than a minute and folded.

D'Auteuil was reluctant, but he eventually tabled pocket queens.

Kevin Rivest Continues to Dominate His Table

Level 26 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Ever since moving to table 65, Kevin Rivest has continually stacked chips pot after pot...you could say he's on a heater.

Recently he went four ways to the flop with just over five million already in the pot. The dealer spread the flop of {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and the action was checked to Rivest in middle position who bet 2,700,000. Both the small blind and big blind called and they went three ways to the turn.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and again the action was checked to Rivest. This time he bet 6,900,000 and the small blind folded. The big blind went into the tank for over three minutes before Rivest mentioned to him, "Your tournament has been going really well until this hand." Eventually the big blind would fold his hand and Rivest would continue to stack chips.

Benny Chen Eliminated by Scott Montgomery

Level 26 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Scott Montgomery appeared to have about 90 million chips, and he explained how he eliminated Benny Chen, who had 31,900,000.

The two players ended up putting in multiple bets before the flop, with Chen ultimately being the one to six-bet shove. Montgomery called, and Chen tabled ace-six suited, while Montgomery had queens.

The board ran out dry, and Chen was eliminated.

The "King" Won't Be Sending Niall Farrell Any Oysters Anytime Soon

Level 26 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Armand "Oyster King" King raised to 2,500,000 on the button. Niall Farrell was in the big blind and three-bet to 6,600,000. King moved all in for 17,000,000 and Farrell called.

Farrell tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, and King let out a shriek as he revealed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Nonetheless, King was in good spirits and asked the dealer to "peel it slowly!"

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the King's deep run in this event came to an end.

King appears to be well-known in these parts, sporting a plethora of Playground Poker Club gear with his nickname "Oyster King" professionally stitched into it. His hat is also lined with shiny sequins, but most importantly he is always sporting a giant smile on his face with a clear love for this game.

King's total live earnings add up to a little over $43,000, and his biggest cash was in August 2016 when he finished as the runner-up in the $170 No Limit Hold'em Quantum event right here at Playground for a whopping CA$33,000, beating out 984 runners, but falling to Canada's own Jiachen Gong (CA$50,000).

Off the felt, King is an Oyster grower in Bedec Bay, New Brunswick. He founded the company 'Village Bay', which sells seafood products. His son has since taken over, but his love for both Oysters and the game of poker seem to be on similar levels.

On a board reading {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, with about 5,500,000 in the pot already, Matthew Waxman led out for 1,900,000 from the big blind. Viet Van Vo was on the button and raised to 7,000,000.

Waxman thought for a moment and moved all in for 13,275,000 total. Vo went into the tank for several minutes. After a while, Vo flashed {a-}{6-} for a straight and sent his cards into the muck.

Waxman has chipped up significantly from the 6,265,000 chips he started the day with.

Sam Greenwood Continues to Build

Level 26 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Sam Greenwood has continuously been increasing his stack throughout Day 3. He has remained patient and used timely aggression to build himself over the 50 million chip mark.

In a recent hand, Greenwood saw the flop with three other players and around 4,500,000 in the pot. The flop read {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Greenwood in middle position. He tossed out a bet of 2,000,000 and the only caller was Joseph Sicko on the button.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Greenwood let out again for 3,000,000 and once again Sicko called.

When the river came a {7-Clubs}, Greenwood fired a third time for 8,000,000 finally forcing Sicko to fold.
