Pearson Doubles Through Trickett

Level 37 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Joining the action on the {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop, Sam Trickett bet 340,000 out of the big blind and Richard Pearson moved all in from the cutoff. Trickett asked the dealer to pull in his bet and then determine for how much more Pearson was all in. The shove was for another 1,432,000 on top and Trickett checked his remaining stack before eventually making the call for less than one third of his remaining stack.

Richard Pearson: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Sam Trickett: {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {10-Hearts} turn and {8-Spades} river failed to improve Trickett to the best hand and he lost a decent portion of his stack.

No Day 3 for Noonan

Level 37 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded around to James Noonan and he open-shoved for 1,364,000. It was then folded around to Dylan Honeyman in the big blind and the Aussie checked his cards, then called within a heartbeat.

James Noonan: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Dylan Honeyman: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board of {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts} failed to improve Noonan and he was sent to the rail early into the last level of the night.

Vicente Delgado Captures the Yellow Jersey

Level 36 : 40,000/80,000, 8,000 ante
Vicente Delgado
Vicente Delgado

In the marquee, Steven Warburton was suddenly nowhere to be found, and instead, table #94 was surrounded by members of the Dusk Till Dawn staff trying to color up parts of the massive chip tower in front of Vicente Delgado.

Delgado was more than happy to tell the story of his newly found wealth. He had opened sixes in the hijack, Warburton had three-bet the button and Delgado had made the call.

The flop came {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, Warburton had bet 500,000 and Delgado had made it 2,400,000 to go. Warburton committed the chips. Delgado put his opponent in on the {K-Hearts} turn, and Warburton had eventually made the call with {K-}{8-}, drawing to one of the four remaining sevens. He didn't get there, and Delgado had dragged the 15 million pot - the biggest of the tournament so far.

Kelsall Takes on Spalding

Level 36 : 40,000/80,000, 8,000 ante

Mark Kelsall raised the button and called the three-bet of Luke Spalding in the small blind for 460,000. The flop came {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Spalding continued for 490,000 in order to pick up a call by Kelsall. On the {Q-Diamonds} turn, Spalding checked and Kelsall's bet of 750,000 forced a fold.

Both players are above the average near the end of the penultimate level of Day 2.

Yan Gets There to Bust Lodge

Level 36 : 40,000/80,000, 8,000 ante

Harry Lodge was in a prime spot to double up to twice the average when he got his stack in with the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, as [Removed:17] on the button only had {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

However, the board came {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Yan got there to crack the kings of the Brit and send Lodge to the rail.

Stammen on the Up

Level 36 : 40,000/80,000, 8,000 ante

Keven Stammen raised to 175,000 from under the gun and the big blind reluctantly called. On the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, both players checked and the big blind then bet the {2-Diamonds} turn for 150,000, Stammen called. On the {A-Clubs} river, the big blind checked and Stammen bet 225,000.

His opponent gave it a lot of thought and eventually folded the {4-Hearts} face up.

Ashley Williams and Sam Trickett also built their stacks, the former in a hand against Grzegorz Grochulski. The Pole raised to 180,000 and Williams called in the hijack, before the duo went to a heads-up flop of {K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Both checked and the {3-Hearts} turn saw a check by Grochulski and a bet worth 225,000 by Williams.

Grochulski folded and the pot was shipped to Williams, right before the table broke and everyone was sent to different new tables.

Moerman Wins Bizarre Flip

Level 36 : 40,000/80,000, 8,000 ante

Ivan Luca limped in from the button and Joeri Moerman in the small blind raised to 660,000 with exactly 4,000 behind. Jon Spinks in the big blind checked his cards and announced all in, and Luca folded rather quickly. What followed was rather unusual. Moerman didn't snap call, but checked the tournament clock and played with his four remaining chips worth half an ante.

Spinks already turned over his cards with the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} and the rest of the table stared at Moerman. "Can someone please call the floor? ... I am already showing you my cards," Spinks added. More than half a minute had passed and Moerman eventually called all in after 40 seconds, turning over {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Moerman doubled.

Warburton In Back-to-Back Massive Pots

Level 36 : 40,000/80,000, 8,000 ante
Steven Warburton
Steven Warburton

Steven Warburton has a stack, and he's not afraid to use it. The EPT Barcelona runner-up just played two massive back-to-back pots with the tally being one win, one loss.

First off Warburton took a good one off of France's Ian Deyra, when he made a set on the river on a {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} board. Deyra had fired 425,000 on the river and decided to commit the additional 935,000 chips to see Warburton's hand - this time {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

The very next hand Warburton were doing some river-raising once again, as he made it 540,000 over the 200,000 bet of Vicente Delgado on a board of {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. The Spaniard fired back with a three-bet to 1,55 million chips making Warburton engage in a one-man conversation.

"So that's how it's going to be, is it?", Warburton said to no one in particular.
"Every time I have two pair, you are better?"
"You have {K-}{8-}, don't you?", he mumbled to himself.

Finally, he resigned to his curiousness and made the call, only to see the {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} of Delgado.

"Ya, I've got a King as well. {K-}{2-}. Sick runout", Warburton said after throwing his hand into the muck.
